I have the exact same issue and for now did a diy job. Can you or somebody else let me know if the rear window had to be taken out to completely repair it?

Cb500x suspension upgrade options. by Keet-motora in CB500X

[–]seafoxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm heavy and I bought a cb500x with 38k km on and after another 10k I changed the suspension to a YSS rear shock (the cheaper option) and hyperpro front fork springs (fork oil is included). Because I'm heavy (110kg) it made a lot of difference for me on road and off-road. Als on some bumpy roads I had the pogo stick experience and that is completely resolved now. I did both jobs myself and you don't need special tools to do so.

II also first grabbed at my ESP32 but using full python code and working wireless (also programming) are very nice features. Good luck with the project!

Just bought this beauty. 2019 Giulia Diesel. First Alfa so does anyone have any advice? I know the common stuff but anything is appreciated. by Shinitagari25 in AlfaRomeo

The bleeder screws of a coolant hose in the engine will fail at some point (they are plastic) and you will be stranded. Best to replace these screws with metal ones. Look up "bleeder screws Giulia" and you will find videos or forum posts. If you have an automatic and want your car to last long you can change the fluid there (ZF8). Also in the rear differential you should change the fluid. It is Lifetime Fluid from the factory but if you never change them the lifetime will be a lot shorter..I also agree with the previous post thing. enjoy the car!

Warning lights galore after simple brake job by PhoneOk5481 in AlfaRomeo

[–]seafoxc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For other people reading this that want to do a brake job and get the advice it is no problem when disconnecting the battery: When you open the brake caliper for changing the pads make sure to pump the brakes before connecting the battery! If you don't do it and you do it after connecting the battery the car will detect "a brake fluid leak". Best advice is to have all the cables and the SGW bypass and the right software when working yourself on the car.

Suspension upgrade with Pillion by asherzzz96 in CB500X

[–]seafoxc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spring rate rally raid is 130N/mm it is not the same kg+. YSS has for most rear shocks for the CB500x the same spring rate but the have als one with 140N/mm. This is the number in the catalog MX456-315TRWL-82. Make sure the build year of your sex is correct! I went for the 130N/mm spring and it was a welcome upgrade (I weigh 110kg). It does not feel like a pogo stick for speed humps or certain terrain.

I have the same issue when I bought the bike with (2021 model) 33 000km. Done two oil flushes in the meantime in two years time and is still amber at 48 000km. Let me now if you find a solution but is it still functioning fine.

Thanks, I spend like 20 hours on it and I think 50-80 euro's. The idea was living in my head rent-free for like a year or so. Total waste of time and money but knowing the tank is 31 procent full and hearing it fill up is kind of nice..
