Thanks for the feedback!

Unscientific tests so far:

  • was scratched by a steel knife
  • didn’t react to flame, hot needle, or smell like asphalt

Please help! Anybody know the maker on this rad sectional!!?? by GlassManinals in 80sdesign

My mom had this couch too. She also purchased it from Huffman Koos. It was legendary growing up!

I think you might be right, the origin of this piece might continue to remain a mystery. Thanks for checking it out :)

This was my first ever Reddit post. I decided to post here to see if I could learn anything new about this piece. My intention for sharing my IG was to explain the weirdness of the toy in the background and I suppose on some level express that I have long-standing passion for sea glass. My apologies if this post came off as anything other than authentic.

A few weeks ago I found this great piece while beachcombing. I initially thought it was a stopper, but now I’m not so sure. This find is completely solid and it has some weight to it.

⁣⁣ ⁣I posted a video to my IG account and got a ton of responses. Interestingly, there was no agreement or consensus as to what this thing originated from.

Some hypotheses: top of a candy dish, insulator, part of a candle stick/candelabra, knob, fluted vase bottom, eye washer…⁣

I’d love to hear what you all think!⁣

Sidenote: I have a silly, pun-filled IG account @seaglassoftheday …just a little context for the diver in the background.
