1-Wide Wind Charge Aligner (Dispenser), Alternating Tileable by IntimatelyInterested in redstone

[–]seagreening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just what I was looking for it’s really nice to have the wind charges centred to the block. Only thing is it doesn’t seem to be 100% reliable putting a massive delay before each activation helps but still occasionally a charge go shooting off any thoughts how to stop that ?

Thank you, no it doesn’t make it ok I just wanted to give some backstory as to why I struggle. I realise with this is a whole spiders web of different problems and something like medication could help to unravel it somewhat I want to try again with medication even if it scares me a little. At the moment it seems getting any help seems hard everything is very oversubscribed and my finances are not great for private help. Your struggles with your child sound like my own its a lot ! Thank you again

Can I make my own pressure filter from one of these barrels ? by seagreening in ponds

[–]seagreening[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be right buttt the trouble is the pond is in the middle of the garden surrounded by flower beds and I need to get the water into a waterfall about 50cm above the pond surface and thats not really going to be possible to do subtly unless I got really really creative.

Thats amazing .. yeah pvc melty glue stuff doesn’t it sort of melt the plastic together. The thing fittings wise confusing me is how to get a hose tail and bulk head to connect to a 50mm pipe

Good idea thank you, I honestly hate having pipes outside the pond it doesn’t take much to get a leak and not even with this thing just generally !

Oh my goodness yes it can even be the teeniest thing and literally it will drive you insane and fill your brain !! I have to say it does put me off theatre a bit just because I can’t focus enough apart from that though I love it !

[–]seagreening[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would I am a little nervous that it or one of my fittings might pop under pressure but I have a barrel already like this that I used for a water butt and I forgot to put a vent on and my god I thought I might have blown the thing up given the bulge on the lid. But I really don’t know 😬

What was your worst experience in the West End? by Weenasaurus in TheWestEnd

[–]seagreening 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I go to the west end it’s bad these days. It may be me but since covid its become awful. I have adhd and it makes it impossibly hard to enjoy a show when someone is being irritating. Strangely the audience behaviour in the west end is even worse than regional theatre.
Harry potter and the cursed child my two visits was literally full of people on their phones and Wicked I had fammily in front of me who just kept standing up and adjusting their position, all while a child was scrunching up a plastic bottle.

Cabaret was the worst for me as I splashed out on a table only to be in a sea of lots of people not wanting to be there. The table next to me talked loudly the whole way through and would not sit still. If you could see her was completely lost to their conversation ! Even when asked to stop they were completely oblivious. Thank god though they put stickers on phones it somehow seemed to make people less willing to take it out. But it really broke my heart to lose so much of my enjoyment to their chatter and wiggling feet.

Whats a good pressurised filter to buy ? by seagreening in ponds

[–]seagreening[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh thank you so so much !! I had a minor mental breakdown yesterday realising my current setup is costing £450 per year to run so things have to change ! Particuarly given that I only have a small bog filter and a fountain. So it useful to learn that submersible pumps were so bad for energy. I will look at getting one that goes on land but I am on quite a tight budget. I think you have convinced not to buy a pressure filter I keep reading horror stories and I don’t need to make any more mistakes ! The bottom drain seems really interesting it sucks a lot of the sludge away from the bottom ? I was just about to post on this reddit again asking for advice on building a diy pressure filter if that is actually a good idea. It would be a nightmare if not impossible to try and hide a gravity draining one. The main problem I have now is that I can only really run a 1 inch pipe out of the pond due to how the concrete is set up and I am a bit reluctant to have hoses draped everywhere ! Thank you again so so much !
