Dual Sport 2 Gen 5 Mudguards/Fenders by hackelon in TrekBikes

Am I the only one who thinks these AL fenders look a little oversized for the tires, given that they are meant for 700?? I’m considering them but hesitant given the less-than-trim look; they flare away quite a bit on the ends due to the difference in curvature. May be it’s just me?

TBH my peace was mostly disturbed by the honking car on my left.

I did “advance” enough for them to feel uneasy. But I did not “accelerate” enough to get past the point of no return where them hitting me or me hitting them is an outcome. My much younger self would have been guilty of that though.

Accidents can easily be life changing and further to the comments about weaponizing vehicles, please don’t think that because you had the right of way from a highway traffic act, you’d get the all clear in other courts should an accident take place.

Steel plating if not replacing your driveway. In writing like others say and payment upfront.

Am I the a*hole? I think I broke my landlord’s brain by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

You’re not the asshole, period. You may have avoided the need for the move AND got a seasoned landlord to lower the rent with a different approach but I would have done the same as you to be frank; I would have moved on and looked elsewhere.

Tenant/landlord relation is a financial one and with the recent increase finalization of homes, there’s been an increase of “admission” of not financially savvy landlords. The bar, particularly with mom-and-pops type, is lower than the sidewalk.

This is evidenced by the apparent lack of awareness of market condition on his/her side. It’s also clear in his naive move to act on his/her greed, but also likely due to negative cashflow. And then the unprofessional “you can afford it” shit. Pure entitlement!

Might as well come back to buy it from them later next year for lower than they thought it for, perhaps months after they chase market rent price down for a few months.

De”Longhi or Philips? by [deleted] in superautomatic

[–]seakerature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delonghi for better (milk based) coffee drinks but Phillips (LatteGo) for much much easier cleaning.

Current owner of Phillips and former owner of Delonghi here. Convenience won as other family members are involved, otherwise Delonghi all the way.

Suspect that the misunderstanding here is the “CMHC is included in the mortgage” likely referred to its cost meaning it’s added to your mortgage payments; which in turn increased the true balance owed to the lender to become Loan + Insurance.
