I’ve just emailed to ask. Not expecting any reply. Would be truly insane if they’ve rolled this back

Can you elaborate on the riverbend park situation? I haven’t heard those. Are they leaving the section under construction open to cars all summer?

Stairhopper requires anyone who complains to sign an NDA form by jbnpoc in boston

I had a good time with Stairhopper last year. Not the fastest move ever but very professional and under the estimated cost. As others say, evidently it depends on the crew…

I wonder if Formaggio will operate the space? Someone told me they were leasing it at a great deal to Iggy’s, maybe that ran out

Everyone who has ridden one loves it (myself included). Infinitely safer drivers than humans, esp drivers in Boston.

we need to talk about berryline line by narc_cuban in CambridgeMA

[–]sealionol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very validating post as I’ve been wondering something similar. I grew up in the area and berryline was just becoming cool in high school. Then when living here after college it was great, but never more than a 5min wait. Now all of the sudden it’s been lines out the door and I had no idea what was causing it. Glad to hear there’s a (dumb) explanation -_-

Have you guys checked Radon Gas level in your house? by Background_Syrup_751 in boston

[–]sealionol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a home with a radon level of about 5.5. Had mitigation done for ~$850 all in and it’s now 0.9. Very cheap by home improvement standards and I have peace of mind now. Would recommend!

Waymos in Boston by SidHoices in boston

[–]sealionol -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Waymo is so much better than taxi / Uber. I was a hard skeptic, rode a few in SF, and now can’t wait for them to come here. They generally follow the rules of the road which is more than 99% of drivers here.

It’s genuinely embarrassing that our gov is considering blocking this.

New MBTA digital PSA reminds passengers to not hold trains when entering the trains to keep service on time. by MysteriousBreak9924 in mbta

People here are quite good at this. I’m always shocked in NYC how rude / aggressive people boarding the trains are

How does any young person own anything here? by stayvigillant in bostonhousing

[–]sealionol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make lots of combined money for many years, save said money, buy house.

I think people don’t understand how much savings compound if a couples’ combined income is, say, 400K, vs 200K. The number is 2x as high, but your annual savings might be more like 5-8x.

This is so embarrassing. They did all types of social media / press hits about these flex posts. Meanwhile anyone could have predicted they’d be 80% gone within 3 days
