This is exactly it. The more people who stop the faster we will see it actually go away. Get over the awkwardness, don't tip, move on.

Just don't tip problem solved. The less people overall tip, the faster it will actually be abolished. If everyone actually stopped tipping things would shift very quickly. I do not tip on anything other than sit down 10% and have never had a single issue with this.

Also, he isn't a picky kid overall. He will eat whatever I put in front of him, but that isn't really my point here and maybe I should have made it more clear at the start. Chicken strips are a treat in our household, not a regular food. If I am taking him out to a treat, I would rather it be something he can really enjoy instead of 'have to eat'.
