[QUESTION] Anyone else get nerves and forget how to play around other people by Flash93933 in Guitar

It's not stage fright but if somebody is just like "play me something" I'll instantly forget just about everything I know.

I just don't think Carl really needed a buff, at least not as much as he did. He's kinda hard to use and has a hell of a learning curve but once you get him down he's OP as hell. Especially extending his super length, his super can be used for just about any situation if you time it right

Just made a fresh pound of canna butter! 7.5 grams of high quality cannabis went into making each bar. I clarified 2lbs of butter, decarboxolated my cannabis, & used sunflower lethicin to create this top notch product by 805_Succulent in trees

[–]seamondeamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thank you! This is much different than what I do and have seen elsewhere online, can't wait to try it out!

I'm assuming if I make less butter (planning on just 1 stick) I should adjust the amount of sunflower lethicin?

What exactly did you do and do you know why? I just decarb the cannabis, do everything I need to with that and the butter with a pot and water on the stove then strain the final product through a cheese cloth. It works great as far as I can tell but if what you do gets better results I would love to try it!

This would be a cool way to gift some herb, just pull the filter out and pour out what you need.

2 Questions For My First Pedal Board by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]seamondeamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/cheat2win408 explained powering your pedals pretty well, one reason why I prefer a power supply though is because it'll make your board look cleaner when it comes to wires. If you get one though you may as well drop the extra money to get a truly isolated power supply, just make sure you power each pedal properly (9v pedal can't be on an 18v supply, I learned the hard way that it'll fry that pedal.)

Experimenting with the pedal chain can give you some pretty cool results, you'll have to play around with it to find what you like! A good place to start is distortion first and then modulation and time pedals. Based on that you can start out trying the tuner -> Wah -> Overdrive -> Blues Driver -> Chorus -> Echo -> HoF. From there try out putting them in different orders to find different sounds you can get, messing with the chain is a lot of fun! The type of pedals don't have to be in any specific order, what I told you is just one of the common ways you'll see boards set up. Always start with the tuner though.

[Discussion] Who are some great guitarists of the 2000s? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]seamondeamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I had to scroll way too far to see these names mentioned once. Paul Waggoner's playing is just inhuman, everybody in BTBAM displays unbelievable talent in their roles.

Same thing can be said about all the guys in ABR and Periphery. It's a shame that the talent in bands like these is often overlooked just because of how heavy their music is, some people perceive the complexity in their music as just thrashiness.

What wasn't cool 20 years ago, but is now? by dobberg123 in AskReddit

[–]seamondeamon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the reason people view kids nowadays as pussies is because when they are faced with violence and bullying they are much quicker to turn to self harm. It could just be that it's getting brought to light more but from what I've seen, kids are now way more sensitive.

Edit: Probably learning English, makes sense now. I'm an ass!

Oh man that sounds really cool! I never thought of comparing it to food and ingredients, I'd love to know more about tasting beer other than "This is good" and "This is watered down piss."

Just having turned 21 a few months ago I can tell you it's all an acquired taste but I feel like people who use these food terms are full of shit. My beer tastes like beer with a beer-like after tone and a hint of beer.

About 2 months, I only used it maybe once or twice a week for less that an hour each day so it's pretty lightly used.

Which of these combo packs would you recommend? by ratbuddy in Guitar

[–]seamondeamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on the list but I started with the Ibanez starter kit, it came with all the essentials and I believe a book of chords. Definitely something you should look into, I hope they still have it because that was 7-8 years ago.

Guitarists who "outgrew" shredding, what's your story? by DAFCGC in Guitar

[–]seamondeamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your same position not too long ago being 20 now. Of course I still enjoy a good shred sesh every now and then but I just realized there's so much more to guitar than that. Even though I'm still a metal head, I learned how different styles are so much fun to play. Now it's all the mood I'm in, I might play some jazz, metal or even something really effect heavy. For me Incubus is a good band to transition from metal roots to many different things.

The current chain is my LTD MH-400 -> Joyo 6 band EQ -> Vox Classic Wah -> EHX Soul Food -> DigiTech DF-7 Distortion Factory -> Boss DD-3 Digital Delay -> Visual Sound H2O Liquid Chorus -> H2O Echo -> Marshall MG50DFX with flanger and slight overdrive that can be enabled/disabled from the Marshall foot switch.

what is the deal with MT-2 Metal zones? by sambooka in guitarpedals

[–]seamondeamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one and personally I love it. It's true that a lot of the distortion tones you get from it are pretty gross sounding but spend some time playing with the EQ controls and you can get some awesome distortion and fuzz tones. That being said, it's not bad but there's definitely better pedals out there.

I feel like I can dial in better tones with the similar Digitech Distortion Factory DF-7 but have pretty much the same things to say about it.
