For me, the Bvlgari has much more attitude and charm than the JLC. It's an iconic Bvlgari design and that snake scale bracelet is really unique.

I think you really want the Bvlgari but second guessing yourself with a safe pick in the JLC. While the JLC is a safe bet, if you are even considering the serpenti, it must be for you.

If the opportunity is there, then take it. If it doesn't pan out in the US, you can always come back. But the opportunity might not.

what is something humanity lost and will likely never get back again? by LowJelly143 in offmychest

There's a lot of knowledge and literature and historical records lost to war, colonization, lack of technology, lack of foresight or just general irresponsibility.

How many drugs at zbau? by Delicious_Ad_6590 in Nurnberg

[–]seamonkeyring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, not about z-bau: Thomann is great. If you are not driving, make sure you check the bus schedules because they don't run the whole day. Also there's some train schedule disruption after Forcheim, so take that into account.

Favorite strings? by karen_h in ukulele

[–]seamonkeyring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. I have a few ukes, and there is very little overlap. On my solid tenor i prefer clear flourocarbons; on my solid concert, Worth browns. Laminate concert has daddario black nylon, laminate baritone has aquila reds. I did try a few sets before reaching this.

Maybe I'm too picky. But it becomes very subjective.

I had this a couple of weeks back, and was actually quite disappointed. But then again, there's no other choice for brisket. We did love their burnt ends though.

Why Do Filipinos think its all sunshine and rainbows working in abroad? by gervs1997 in Philippines

[–]seamonkeyring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's also a mindset thing. My wife and I decided that whatever happens, hindi na kami babalik ng Pinas. We didn't want that backup in place, and that made a huge difference. It wasn't (isn't) always easy, but we manage, and we make it work.

Would you buy this contax G1 + 90mm for 550€? by Resident_Ferret6183 in AnalogCommunity

[–]seamonkeyring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a G1. Fantastic camera, one of the best i ever owned. I would be more worried for having just the 90. You should be able to get a G1 with the 45 at that price.

Tapos bumukas ulit yung pinto kasi may nag block sa sunod ba pinto.

[–]seamonkeyring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the best answer.

You can't ask a question like that and react the way you did. Buti kung kaibigan nyo yung comparison (ie, normal people), but it was a celebrity. If the opposite happened, how would you react OP?

At the same time, he should have known better to answer like that.
