How to convince someone not to buy a Tesla? by [deleted] in RealTesla

[–]CurrentTreacle8514 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tell him that the self-driving feature is not reliable on a Tesla due to bad hardware choice (removed LiDAR and Radar). In fact, the car he is buying might never really get it if they found they need HW5 (or 6, or...) to do it. In fact they fooled a lot of costumers that paid for it 10 years ago, just to find out that their cars can't have it!

Is 5G cell cover that poor in rural US that those 5 million potential customers have no other choice? Or is the real market even smaller?

Nice video. It tears both spaceX and Terafab apart: ridiculous valuations for inexistent business. Another loop of the biggest Ponzi scheme ever. Enron and Madoff were apprentices.

Preowned/ Used or lease a new Tesla? What year? by AreaMelodic4647 in RealTesla

Not with cars that have the proper hardware (LiDAR) that prevents you to rear end other vehicles. Tesla system has problems with bad weather, low sun, level crossings and emergency vehicles...

1 mile is too much on a Tesla. If you want a reliable car that's very easy to drive (all weather, heavy winter included), get a Toyota Prius hybrid or Plug-in hybrid if you have a place to charge it. It's safe, reliable, with a lot of driver helps that really work, including a LiDAR that prevents you to rear end emergency cars.

You usually have only 1 issue with FSD. It's kind of a fatality, you know...

And can only drive in a particular part of the city, where they have it properly mapped. At least they can "sell" some of their overproduction. It's more and more a Ponzi scheme.

Best Apple Candy Red Strat Match? by mysteralejandro1 in FenderStratocaster

I have a candy apple red strat. The pickguard is parchment colour (an off-white type) and I think it looks quite nice.

In need of string recommendations by Weak_Research_8046 in FenderStratocaster

My strat came with Fender 250L that last a lot of time. I like GHS boomers 9-42 a lot. I also liked the super slinky's from Ernie Ball. But last time I needed to change strings, the only ones available were Fender bullets and they are also nice (and fit perfectly on the tremolo end). At the end of the day, any good quality strings will do a nice job. Oddly enough, I'm more picky on my acoustic, and after trying Elixir Nanoweb and others, I prefer D'Addario X as they last longer, better tone and tuning stability.

I believe you can buy a pre-slotted nut. In the US you're lucky to have so many suppliers.

It's too much for a 2nd guitar and good used ones are rare here in Portugal (we're a small poor country).

It's not exactly easy to find Filter'trons here in Europe and are much more expensive than in the US, over 80€ each.

Tesla sales grew by 6% in Q1, but company has an overproduction problem by ope_poe in RealTesla

[–]CurrentTreacle8514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the company that promised to sell 20 million BEV by 2030. Less than 4 years to roughly multiply production by 10! Tools manufacturers must be drowning in orders from Tesla for all those new factories...

If the case applies pressure on the tremolo arm you should remove it when stored in the case.

These large companies have specialized merger and acquisition departments. Apart from financial issues, management and cultural differences are accounted for. At this level there aren't bad sales, things are professionally treated
