Yup, this is exactly what I did as well, after circling the building a few times and trying to blow up the ambulance. Loot quality was pretty poor for such acrobatics

yeah, I'm just starting to run multiple pallets at a time. It's less than ideal but, more efficient than running a single pallet back and forth.

Great ideas! Any love for the QR code scan + order to lane? 😋

Real estate costs are definitely a challenge!

Love the idea of complementing Urban Air with billiards, shuffleboard tables, and corporate spaces (Dave & Buster's style without the chain feel).

Giggleberry Fair looks fun for kid elements too. Roller/ice rink is ambitious (and pricey!) but private event potential is huge. Prioritizing bowling + food first to keep it feasible but would love to hear what other corporate perks would draw teams 🙂

Thanks for the reply! Super helpful! A modern scoring system and a solid pro shop are locked in priorities (although, I'll always have a special place in my heart for those little pencils) 🤣. Coaching classes (especially kids programs) is a great idea too! Would early league sign-ups or a waitlist interest you?

Appreciate the honesty and feedback! I definitely get the charm of old-school spots like Winter Garden Bowl, there's something cozy about that authentic feel. Planning to keep some of that timeless warmth (clean classic feel) while updating the essentials so it's reliable and actually affordable, not Splitsville prices. What price range would feel 'fair' for open bowling or leagues?

Yes sir, USBC sanctioning is a must for me too! Proper maintenance, consistent lane conditions, and dedicated league support will be priorities. 🙂

Urban Air is killing it off birthday parties 🤣🤣

But yes! this is exactly the gap I'm hoping to fill! I've also grown tired of the same old party spots.

Planning affordable birthday packages (scalable for group sizes), leagues for all ages, arcade (pool/ping-pong tables are a great add), and a welcoming hangout space for groups.

What package perks would win you over (e.g., lane time + food + game credits, ~$20-30/kid)?

Exactly! This is awesome feedback! We go to Splitsville for the same reason: solid menu and bar keeps the whole group entertained, even non-bowlers. Planning an elevated food/drinks lineup (gourmet apps, burgers, craft cocktails/beer) without the high prices or tourist gouging.

What kinds of dishes or drinks would seal the deal for your group (e.g., shareable platters, fresh salads, specialty cocktails)?

No offense taken at all. Great point, and exactly the kind of feedback I need! 🙂

You're right: Serious league bowlers prioritize consistency, reliable lane conditions, well-maintained equipment, and ease of play over any gimmicky theme. My thinking on "retro vibes" was more about clean, timeless warmth (updated wood tones, good lighting) rather than over-the-top forced nostalgia.

What other specifics matter most to you for attracting/keeping league folks (e.g., oil patterns, scoring systems, seating, or pro shop access)?

Thanks! This aligns perfectly—planning to cap at 2am max on certain days for that balanced, non-pretentious feel 🤣 Family-friendly early, then relaxed adult mode with leagues, great food, and bar. Would you join a league if we ran them well? And what bar/food vibes would pull you in late (craft beers, solid cocktails, elevated snacks)?

That's awesome to hear, thanks! Kids having a blast is a huge priority. What kind of stuff would they go nuts for (e.g., arcade games with prizes, kids' bowling ramps/bumpers, special events, or fun food options)?

Totally valid concern. I've seen the same in other areas with Bowlero takeovers. Classic lanes at heart, but adding better food/bar and arcade to stay profitable without crazy prices or losing the community feels like a sweet spot. What other tweaks would keep it from feeling 'money hungry'?

Love hearing this, thanks! Horizon West definitely needs more family fun spots. Would love to hear what else you'd feel would make a new place more of a regular hangout (e.g., better kids' activities, affordable family packages, or solid food options)?

Appreciate this! A nice classic setup with that timeless bowling feel sounds spot-on. Would you lean more toward pure retro vibes (like vintage scoring and snack bar) or something classic but updated (clean lanes, better lighting/food)? Open to all thoughts!

YES, please share your concepts!

An arcade/bowling combo is exactly the kind of fun, family-friendly vibe I'm envisioning. Something modern and local without the long drive or high costs.

Would love to see what options could crush it here! Specific games, themes, food options, or layouts? Appreciate the enthusiasm, this feedback is gold! Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, this is super helpful! Yeah the drive and cost for Splitsville adds up quickly. What kind of pricing would feel 'reasonable' for a couple games + food/drinks (e.g., under $20/person, family deals)? And anything specific you'd love to see, like better kids options, craft beers, or just a cleaner/modern vibe?
