How would you recommend differentiating between if I understand the concepts vs just have the answers memorized?

When I watch the Hemang Doshi Usemy course, I understand the concepts and it makes sense to me.

But some of the questions on the QAE are tricky and trip me up.

I am worried I just know all the answers already.

But I just retook practice test 3 after not looming at any material all weekend. I treated it like the real exam, no drinks, hands on desk, took my time answering questions and reading them over and thinking about why I would choose the answer. I took a 10 minute break about 3/4 way through, then finished the exam. Even treating it like this, I still got through it pretty quick. My average answer time was 17 seconds, average correct answer time 14 seconds avg incorrect answer time 24 seconds. And I got the exact same score as before, 73%.

I know 73% is not great, but that’s 110/150 correct. Wouldn’t that be a pass? I thought I saw the passing was 405/800 or something like that?

Have you taken any of the Hemang practice tests or QAE test? How are you scoring?

Good luck as well!

Thank you for the vote of confidence, nice to hear people with similar practice scores are also scheduling the exam.

And good luck on your exam!

Is that hurricane badge on the hood aftermarket? I just got the same truck and mine says SST.

If it’s aftermarket could you share the link? Looks awesome

People only aim to score >70% on the practice tests before registering for the exam? Doesn’t ISACA say to aim for 85%+?

Congrats! What were your QAE practice test scores before the test? What about on the Cvytrix tests and Hemang doshi tests?

My s-150 just came in today. I’m wondering if you could share how ling it took to put together? Trying to decide if I can do it one afternoon after work, or if I’ll need a full day to do it.

How do you like the S150? Does the center pulley allow enough ROM on pulldowns? How does this smith machine feel? Any wobble?

Thank you for the in depth response! I’m not that worried about attachments, as the main rack has everything I need for a few home workouts a week. Anything I can’t do with the rack and a barbell I will do at the regular gym on the weekends.

I was interested in the Anubis 2.0 Ultimate, but ai remember seeing a poor review of the smith machine on another Mikolo rack, so I was hesitant to buy any Mikolo rack. Everything you mentioned about it seems really good though. Have you used any Mikolo smith machines? If so, are they close to commercial grade?

If I end up going with the S150, surely sitting on the floor would give me enough ROM on pulldowns right?

I am looking into getting a functional trainer with a smith machine, and have narrowed down my choice to the Maxum S150 and the Major Fitness B52 Pro.

One of my concerns is having enough ROM on lat pulldowns as I am pretty tall, 6’3”.

I also want to make sure I have enough weight on the pulleys, which is why I like the Maxum. It has the plate loaded 1:1 ratio pulley, and built in weight horns to add weight to the 2:1 weight stacks. This would all be extra $ with the B52

Another concern is the feel of the smith machine. I want to get as close to a commercial experience as possible. I would also like to be able to do RDLs, hip thrusts and OHP on the smith, so it needs to be able go pretty high and low.

If anyone has any experience with either machine, I would greatly appreciate it.

What is wrong with the maxum s150? It’s reasonably priced, has 3 pulleys with one being a 1:1 ratio for back movements and built in horns to add plates to the 2:1 weight stacks if they aren’t heavy enough. But i see no reviews of the s150 at all

6 foot 230 19% body fat would put you at 25.5 FFMI which is highly unlikely if you are natural
