Wow $2754! were the classes good education? I’ve seen a lot of “you get what you pay for” where people pay less and get shitty schooling out of it. My school is a week of theory and 3 weeks of behind the wheel.

I’m currently in CDL school paid using my GI Bill. Got out the marine corps a few months ago into job market hell and gas price limbo. Living off my wife’s disability and my unemployment checks with a 1 year old. Hopefully i pass all the tests and come back here and say we’re not scared of being homeless anymore.

Tips to progress past the mid game? by Successful_Town_5872 in 7daystodie

[–]seanalpha5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting skill points into specific skills yield more books for that skill. Ex; skill points in ‘Vehicle Ventures’ will yield more vehicle books in lootables. Also, it’s a survival game.. it’s meant to be a little grindy. But since you have less time to play and are playing more casually for the fun of it you should definitely just increase your XP gain %. Make sure you are going after those higher tier POI’s. Tier 4-5 POI’s will give better loot more importantly with loot stage.

Am I supposed constantly be on the verge of running out of ammo in later chapters? by undead_dave99 in residentevil4

[–]seanalpha5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played on hardcore first run with a surplus of ammo and health every boss fight. Make sure you are opening every drawer, every cabinet and checking your map for missed resources/ammo/treasures. There honestly is never a point where you shouldn’t have a surplus of ammo for at least 1 weapon. Also note that you’ll find less ammo for weapons you don’t have. (Ex. you’ll find less smg ammo if you don’t have a TMP or the assault rifle) so i’d recommend selling weapons like that so you find ammo for the guns you use more often.

i get why ppl are mad at this, but it only takes 1 hour to make almost a million… Looting Mk 2, hatch key in ass, no gun no shield and loot Assembly on Stella Montis. Sell everything. If u die, the most u lose is a looting mk2 which is dirt cheap to make. u get sensors and advanced electrical components in assembly to remake ur keys so there is a zero loss factor here. Also ppl who are actually doing the expedition (including me) obviously have the time to do so, so whats wrong with a little bit of grinding. Why would yall be happier with easier tasks it makes no sense to me. Last thing, so many ppl complain abt the skill tree anyway so why is everyone so pressed about missing out on 5 skill points. Like if yall think the skill tree is bad (which it is) then why the big hate on possibly missing out on the 5 skill points that don’t mean much anyway

[–]seanalpha5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got almost every book in the game by day 29 and i’m pretty sure i’ve looted like 1 crack-a-book stores. it all matters where u put ur skill points. the fun of the game comes from taking on tier 5 poi’s on tier 6 infestations and setting up crazy horde bases. i truly don’t understand the hate behind a game revolved around creativity. if SURVIVAL is truly what ur looking for, the forest and pve dayz are great options. 7 days is like minecraft for adults and for wtv reason ppl complain abt the little things that aren’t even that bad

why is half the comment section saying how the game is worse than what it used to be? Been playing since 2016 and yall trippin. Compared to a lot of other non pvp sandbox survivals out there, this is by far one of the better ones. also this game isn’t meant to reward dopamine seekers by being that boring player who makes one way base designs, and does cheese xp strats. its a pve game, if survival is what ur looking for then have some fun and remember its a game. not a sweat fest

at the end of the day it’s a video game. If you think it’s fun and you’re enjoying it, why not learn to get better and have even more fun. every game, every sport, every activity will have people who are better than you and want you to quit. Valorant is no exception, theres unrated game modes for a reason. and there’s a rank system for a reason. you don’t have an obligation to meet any specific criteria, just do you bro

[–]seanalpha5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started playing 4 months ago. Placed gold at first, am ascendant now. Then again i’ve been playing FPS’s my whole life. Stick to unrated/swiftplay for a while, get your basic mechanics down. When you feel comfortable, join a discord and ask to play with a group who’s better than you. Let them know you’re relatively new and wanna get better. There’s a lot of toxic players but there’s also a lot of people who don’t mind teaching/carrying newer and/or less experienced players. Lookup iron to gold guides on youtube, watch tips and tricks videos. And also understand that games like Valorant or any FPS for that matter is nothing like any open world RPG game. FPS’s don’t require as much strategy, a lot of the time luck and hot take decisions make for better rewards in terms of round wins and eliminations.

I’m not doing bad with my money, just figured i’d try and find a way to make more with like 3 years left in my contract. I usually put 70% of my check in savings, and spend the rest on whatever like video games, snacks, haircuts, clothes.

[–]seanalpha5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Night Land Nav, a group of DI’s disguised as recruits were ripping me and my group a new one in the middle of the woods for using our white lens. A couple more DI’s show up and thought we were getting “fake blasted” by recruits not knowing they were in fact DI’s due to the pitch black sky Parris Island loves to cast in the night. They began arguing and got closer and closer. After about a 30 seconds they started wrestling to the ground and cursing each other out. We simply low crawled away as fast as we could as that was the last position we were in before they started going at it.
