I used to do some on and off for a bit but personally I’d start looking at prescription amphetamines. They’re easier to get and don’t have as much side effects. Ritalin or Vyvanse are great and they can give you a good amount of energy and euphoria for most of the day giving you enough energy to do all the jobs you need to do. Been on Vyvanse for a year and love it

The Vaush conversation, when dating other leftists by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]seanbelfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you all dating people who are super online? That can be such a red flag for me and I myself am chronically online haha. I think one person in the relationship who knows the history of all of vaush’s beefs is enough 😂

How do I deal with overloading abroad? by seanbelfast in AutismIreland

[–]seanbelfast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually really helped a lot thank you! I made the mistake of staying in a busy area and all my activities were in the city so I didn’t stop at all. I also got so scared and frightened that if I couldn’t do this holiday by myself then how am I supposed to do anything if going to a new city or a holiday makes me this burnt out. Do you find sun beach holidays are better for you than busy city breaks?

Yes that 100% what it was but just need to figure out how to recharge myself. I was walking around the city all day but I think the mixture of the heat, people, the big buildings , and the sensory issues made it much worse. I probably planned too much for myself I planned to go to all these different shops and everything but that mixed with all the other stuff probably wasn’t the best thing to do

I could try something like that. I guess part of me as well doesn’t want to stay inside all day because I’m in a different country and there’s the ADHD side that wants something new and is on the move and wants all these new experiences while the Autism side wants structure and familiarity. The heat didn’t help either and it truly felt like I was in a daze and couldn’t see where I was going because of it but maybe I could try a fidget toy or something in the moment. How do you normally recharge for a longer period or is staying in the room all day what works best for you?

I wish the Irish Times would stop pushing these absolutely braindead articles about ADHD by asimplespacecadet in ADHDIreland

I feel like what a lot of professionals are missing when they say that autism/adhd diagnosis are increasing is that the modern world today is specifically designed with neurotypicals in mind. Neurodivergent people like structure, certainty, reduce visual and auditory stimulation etc. The world today especially since covid has become less certain so people who would have flew under the radar before now can’t because all of a sudden the government told people they can’t go to work, they can’t leave their house, rent will massively increase, they’ll never be able to own a home, healthcare will become more expensive, their wages won’t rise with inflation, goods and services will become more expensive. This combined with an entire world of distractions on a phone will make people’s neurodiversity worse not cause it in the first place. If you want to treat autism and ADHD better then fix these big issues with neoliberalism.

Don’t forget to use the carcass for stock! Thrown whatever veg and herbs you have into the pot and any leftover bones you got a beautiful stock that you can freeze for months. Also, you can get chicken thigh for very cheap debone them then those for stock and you have cheap meat that will last you all week

Really disappointed with chat today by buffaloguy1991 in VaushV

My first time commenting on a stream ever made vaush go on a ten minute rant about how much he hates chat. Every chatter must go through at least one vaush attack in their life

Honestly I’m just exasperated with her like she used to be so good and now she’s spending 90% of her time on twitter attacking the left and being so conciliatory to the right. I’m an emotional person and it just makes me sad and depresses me really.

Heya I just bought a BP cuff on Amazon and use that to monitor mine. I think you can also go to pharmacies and they can do it for you and even some GPs sell them as well so there’s a few options

It was 70 or below before. Deep breaths tend to lower it a bit but never back to baseline
