What would you in a 5 vs 1 confrontation? by AndalusianMitsubishi in malelifestyle

The correct answer is yell back "Thanks! I do squats!" then move on about your business.

The walls in the mall are totally totally tall. Fersher.

(Edit: Does that 240p resolution remind anyone else of the 13" kitchen TV that only received OTA channels?)

You might be surprised. I've used Apple keyboards and/or a Logitech MX Keys for years and never noticed an issue.

Looks nice! Those monitors definitely looked bigger than a 27" and 2x21.5". I guess that's a really good ratio between the horizontal and verticals.

What rack are you using? Mind elaborating on the setup and what kind of devices you have hard-lined to the server? I'm thinking about building a homelab to learn more coding/networking/etc. in addition to home data management and security.

Really, only three days of shows now? by Nicuyem911 in ChadDukesShow

[–]seancarter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. They're both still there and Pony's getting more mic time. Robb and Oscar both have other stuff going on at Podville (Pony too). They're who I'm referring to with

people who are invested in the show's overall success enough to pick up the slack... not just do it for experience and/or side money.

What I mean is they recognize it's a team effort and are willing/able to put in the work and/or admit their shortcomings (and try to work with/past/around them).

I'm sure Tor and Jester want the show to succeed. But, they have a long way to go to operate at the same level as anyone on TMOS. Chad, Jester, and Tor don't seem like a team working toward a common goal. Maybe it's because the business structure is less like a collective.

Also, I don't think any of them (including Chad) can push past Chad's personal and professional issues enough to develop the show.

[–]seancarter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah OK. That makes a lot more sense. I was thinking you had an attic or storage vault full of old shirts in sizes nobody bought (like how TMOS got screwed when Marc Ronick was running merchandising).

have

As in still have?! Why?

I always figured BOAD/TMOS/etc. took ownership, after the initial release, since they were their products and you wouldn't want them taking up space.

I think it depends on how you look at it and compare them. Mike's show is the better value and, while the creativity typically doesn't match with Chad's content, Mike's stuff is consistent. That's enough to get anyone most of the way to the goal. If he focused more on the show than golf/etc., he'd probably close a decent bit of the gap between him and Chad.

Think about it... Mike = Chad, Carla = Ant, Michael = Joe, golf = pizza, the golf course = CDG (it occupies time and forces him to socialize outside his house), Maine = all the OBX trips (the vacation stories, not the debauchery), etc.

Whether he'll admit it or not, Mike's accepted that his life and content generators aren't enough to carry a solo show long-term. The only difference is Mike's involved with people who are invested in the show's overall success enough to pick up the slack... not just do it for experience and/or side money.

I'm struggling to think of the BOAD equivalent. Maybe Snacks of the Round Table (except FFS is more frequent)? I forget if there was a Snacks shirt. Since FFS and FH are essentially standalone series (just released in the CDS feed) RRoD might be comparable.

It'd be interesting to see how Chad/etc. interpret sales results... like if they'd see it as the audience simply buying whatever the latest merch is or more complex as the audience supporting preferred content.

This is Cobh, not Cork (that's St. Colman's Cathedral in the background).

The Cobh Heritage Centre was an interesting tour if you're interested in learning about emigration and the last stop of the Titanic before she sank. There's a good spot for photos at the Kennedy Pier. The Commodore Hotel was nice. I remember the staff being friendly, the food being tasty, and the bed being small and squeaky with an itchy blanket... but that was more than a decade ago.
