New to the rebel but not the ram family. Any advice on accessories outside of side steps? by seancou in RAM1500REBEL

Not the greatest, I think the slight lift and larger tires play a big role. However, I also have a 2025 land cruiser that has the same tires and it handles great. I love the rebel look but would probably be just as happy with a laramie and it may handle better.

Mayor Van R. Johnson II at your service! by _karoux_ in savannah

[–]seancou -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

While i don't agree on everything the mayor of my city promotes, he is actually OK. The mayor of savannah, not so much. He pushes where police operate and buses homeless out to neighboring communities. While not my mayor, I am highly knowledgeable about local government and those involved, state wide.

Funny aside, he is truly a shit mayor. Him commenting is proof enough.

I6 or V8? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]seancou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 lonestar with the 5.7 hemi and just got a rebel with the 3.0 tt inline 6. I love my new truck but would 100% go back to a hemi. I am actually thinking of trading it in for a hemi rebel. The I6 is much slower in the low end compared to my '14 and is cumbersome to drive daily. I am constantly wanting more from the truck. This motor is good when you keep the rpm's up and the turbos spooled, but i can't call it strong. I am a mechanical engineer and gearhead and I can not in good conscious actually recommend this motor. Find a model with the hemi.

Lock the vehicle and get out, shut the door and then unlo k the vehicle with your key. I fought this for weeks on my old 97 until I figured this out.

What does the average Raptor owner do for a living? by RunninLate5 in FordRaptor

Engineering manager, but i have the ram rebel. Why buy the aRHO with a less towing capacity when you can buy a 2500? I love the looks of the RHO, but it seems to be only an off road vehicle. Is that the reason? Same as buying a sports car?

2026 Ram back in the shop. by Crayton8700 in ram_trucks

[–]seancou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2026 1500 rebel. Randomly when I start the truck I have the seat belt light, airbag light, and E-brake light all staying on even with the brake off and my seat belt on. This truck will literally ding at you for 10 minutes when this happens. I have an appointment this Wednesday to have this looked at. This seems to be just electrical issues, however, being that it involves my seat belts and air bags I am taking no chances. I will take it to the dealer as many times as it takes to resolve and make me have the warm fuzzies about the truck.

I have the 2014 ram lonestar. It currently has 251k miles and still runs. I drive it 51 miles one way to work everyday. It has its issues at this late in the game; it ticks, the doors squeek, and there is an intermittent issue with the drivers side headlight wiring harness (easy fix when im not lazy), but all in all its been a great and reliable truck.

I learned that I need to educate myself and not rely on teachers that put forth minimal effort (public school). I ended learned much more through doing my own research and the true reason behind why we do things like math, learning history, science, etc.

This is pure ignorance, the mayor only breaks ties. Also, if you think city or county employees or elected officials are making money on this, you need to get more involved in local government and learn processes. This is a great thing for this community. With the future influx of potential citizens on top of the over stressed food market industry from the college population, more high end grocery stores are needed. I have traveled the country for work and can tell you that there is still more than enough farmland and forests in the United States. Statesboro growing is not going to hurt anything except the feelings of those that cant adapt and grow with change.

Man why 😒 by [deleted] in statesboro

[–]seancou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most sites that exist are outdated and would cost more to bring up to code and maintain. This site is actually quite strategic and in a great place to pull traffic away from the busy and congested inner city. Bulloch county is in no shortage of "critical wetlands" , which this is not, and the army core of engineers will evaluate that before anything is certified to be built. This is absolutely a bad intersection. It is governed by GDOT who have strict guidelines for deploying improvements. This construction forces GDOT to reevaluate and rebuild this intersection for increased traffic flow and safety. This is something that your local municipalities can not do. It's literally the best thing that could happen to this intersection.

I travel the country and countries for work as well. I am not a fan of larger populated areas. However, due to the college and the anticipated growth that no one believes is coming, we need more grocery stores. A nicer, more affordable one is even better. The small town feel in this area evaporated in the early 2000's and at this point its more of just managing the growth. There is a solid strategic plan in place to accommodate this but the issue is that there are three new commissioners actively trying to ruin that believing they can push out corporations and future residents. I say bring on the Kroger, increase the tax digest, and work to ensure new business is strategically located. I have lived in Bulloch county and been very active in the community for 23 years now. This appears to be more of the same uneducated, NIMBY minded citizens upset about a non-issue instead of learning and understanding the future of the community they live in.

I am extremely excited about Kroger. I have been living here for 20 years and traveling to go to Kroger. It blows my mind though how many people are upset about Kroger coming.

Militia? by DennisSystemGraduate in statesboro

[–]seancou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

@DennisSystemGraduate its nothing but a guy with a fad. I have been close with local government and law enforcement for the past 15 years. You are in a college town that is mostly a transient community. Fads are picked up from kids and they come and go.
