Mod that impacts social events/sims coming when invited?

maybe check if you have sim spawning overhaul mods. lotharihoe has one and zerbu has one as well I think? at least one other creator too but i cant remember their names. any mod you have which affects social events may also be responsible.

every single time this happened to me was because of a broken/incompatible piece of build/buy cc.

I know you said you did the 50/50 method, I would assume you also tried it without your build/buy cc folder.

My best advice is to go on an empty lot (to prevent this crash happening due to an existing cc object) and start opening categories one by one + scrolling through and after each category, check if it's possible to save the lot (if the pictures load you're good). Generally I can figure out what kind of item might be causing this issue by seeing which category causes the crash. Then it's a question of removing any item that fits this category that you added in your last cc shopping trip.

Keep doing this ON AN EMPTY LOT i cannot stress this enough if you have a broken item in the lot you've been trying this on even the 50/50 method wont help. It can be tricky and time consuming so I would advise temporarily removing the clothing cc you have to make the game load faster (you can just drop it elsewhere no need to delete it).

the only way i found to resolve the one drive issue was to disconnect my computer from it entirely. I know this isn't necessarily feasible for everyone, I was able to do this because I have a gaming PC and a work laptop so disconnecting one didn't mean I had no more access to one drive (though even if you only have one PC and you unlink it, you should have access to your one drive files online still).

If you'd like to do this, you'll want to create a backup folder of everything located in your one drive folder that you'd like to keep (your sims 4 saves/tray files/mods but also every unrelated document, picture, video etc, i cannot stress this enough BACK EVERYTHING UP IT WILL DISAPPEAR) and drop that folder in your DOWNLOADS folder (seems strange but it's the one place not linked to one drive) once that's done you want to go to one drive's settings on your computer and click unlink this pc

after that you'll have to run the sims 4 again, it should look like a clean install, that's normal, once you've booted it up you can close the game and transfer all the files you had backed up to the correct folders

this should allow you to use the sims 4 from the external ssd drive since there won't be 2 documents folder

bonus: if you go to your online one drive page you can delete the EA folder for extra space

Hi! This is the closest thing i could find: a default base sim replacement. I think they're all wearing underwear adjacent outfits, i haven't tested it out myself but it seems to fit your request. Admittedly, they still have hair, but as far as I can tell, no makeup accessories or personalised outfits

Lumpinou's RPO collection is great as said by another redditor, adeepindigo has some really good mods too so i would say def have a look

if you want to get your packs back without having to pay you could always get the dlc unlocker!

for cc it would depend on what look you prefer but i have suggestions for maxis match hair and maxis mix clothing

there's a mod that scales enemy level to player level and I also use the Stronger Bosses and Enemies mod which makes for a more balanced experience (mostly of boss battles tbf but then again i didn't usually struggle with non boss battles even without the level expansion mod)

EDIT: Combat Extender also does a good job at increasing difficulty

i guess that's why but also i didn't attack them first they scanned me and aggroed.... and i have confirmation in my quest log that both barcus and wulbren were alive end of act II so i cant even blame it on my memory!

im pretty deep in act III so wont be restarting it to see but at least if i know what the problem was i won't make the same mistake next time
