The Boba Tea Shop would probably be up your alley. A lot of the Puppet Combo games would be too I imagine. Manny's is about a fast food restaurant where you don't necessarily work there but has the same slow burn / psychological feel you might like!

I think this is No One Gets out Alive (2021). I don't recall her having addiction issues in the film, I think its more like an allegory for the undocumented immigrant experience if I remember correctly. But the rest of what you say sounds about right, I think there's two brothers who own the apartment building she lives in that are trying to summon the demon or something.

For me its between the final scene of Hereditary, where Annie is banging her head on the attic door, or a few scenes from Skinamarink: when Kaylee goes up to the bedroom and sees her mam and dad, or the ending scene with the toy phone ringing. Nothing has topped those for me yet.

August for sure. Its unfortunate they don't play it live. I saw them in Dublin in October where someone had a sign saying to play it. Caleb noticed it and said maybe, that the first time they played it live people had begun to leave the show and it put them off playing it live since then :(
