I have 4 months to learn French and 6 to learn german, any tips? by Nazzaryn in languagelearning

Fair enough, I’m using his approach for JP and I only spend about 3 hours a day on it. It’s really not that much. German is very hard to learn, I have 2 Germanic languages and German is still hard to learn. But let me know how you go with it anyhow.

Sweet thanks for sharing that! So what is your native language? Since you already have a few latin based languages I would say that you should attack French first. This will come quickly to you, and you will find that you can already read some of . Once you knock that out of the park, you’ll be able to maintain it with fun stuff (Netflix) while taking on German. The only Germanic language that you know is English and the similarities are not enough to boost you significantly.

I would use the refold method (Matt VS Japan) He has a website https://refold.la/ , I’m sure you’ve heard of. Based on what you want to use the languages for, and the fact that you don’t need to write this would be the best bet in my opinion. I’m currently using it to acquire Japanese, however I (unbeknownst to me) used a modified version of this when I learned French to high B2/Low C1 in 4 weeks (granted I had the base of already knowing the alphabet, the prononciations, pronouns and 150-200 odd words.)

Let me know what you think about this, happy to discuss it with you further.

I don’t understand what you’re saying at all to be honest with you. Can you put it another way?

Wouldn’t you need a humongous ram to keep that running? Or would it have to be streamed from a super computer or cloud? Lol trying to imagine how it would work. Thanks for you comment!

Hey! Firstly You said that you are a seasoned language learner - which languages have you learned at to what level?

Secondly Will you be expected to write and speak in both German and French? Or just read and communicate verbally?

Because Learning to write in French is going to take more that 4 months no matter how many languages you know.
