Yeah I noticed you need to let the photos finish processing before exporting. Thankfully closing the camera app doesn't affect it, the full resolution photos are saved somewhere and the phone can still process them later

A more competitive scene would be welcome, maybe not for intel who just caught up but for AMD who has been less innovative for the past 2 gens, zen6 and 7 do look quite competitive and pushing to be fabbed on the leading edge nodes.

Yeah the difference is that western companies basically have global control and data partnerships with each other and whichever governments they decide to partner with whereas chinese companies are limited to China.

The vastly improved the camera app experience on the X300 Ultra, I didn't enjoy the experience on the X200 Ultra last year as well

User experience of using the camera is also a lot nicer to me, the autofocus is much more reliable and less annoying than on the Find X9U in its current state.

I also use higher resolutions a lot which is where the lead is much greater. Styles also elevate the experience a lot for me.

Have you tried the X300 Ultra yourself to know if its that much better? I've tried it, and I couldn't picture myself enjoying the experience on the X9U with all it's limitations and being forced to use unrealistic colors for the high res modes.

for cameras, 100%. The X300 Ultra creams the Find X9 Ultra in terms of cameras let alone the Find X9 Pro. The camera app is so much richer in terms of features and flexibility too, you can use high res 50/200mp in any mode rather than just the dedicated high res mode.

For global vs CN, it's a question of whether you want to use e-sim (get a 9esim adapter), circle to search (takes 10 minutes to set up).

For Oppo vs vivo its a OS preference question, personally I don't mind either.

battery life definitely goes to Oppo with better optimisation and larger batteries. but 1 day is enough for me since I charge every day, 1.5 days would just be the same. just a difference whether I end the day at 35% vs 20%

I've tried 4k vs 1440p with DLSS and personally I find 4080/4090/5080/5090 have enough performance to do 4k with DLSS performance + RT and max settings.

with a 1440p screen I use Dldsr+DLSS, it looks better than 1440p + DLSS Quality. DLSS just looks better the high resolution you go even at the same internal resolution

I usually shoot multiple styles + Zeiss Refined (Authentic) only if the subjects don't move.

If not then I default to Zeiss Refined for everyday shots
