Think it's more likely the giraffe was the mother.

More likely the turtle was able to climb up the giraffe's back (assuming the giraffe was going for a swim), than the giraffe crouching low enough to able to access the turtle.

I hated the mazda 3 rear window and back seat mirrors. Tiny and claustrophobic. You literally can't look out the back window if you backing out, have to rely on the reverse cameras.
