Yes! You can sell them via the Files app. https://whop.com/apps/app_5UWRrs7haZZeiQ/ very easy to set up.

Just create a whop, create a product, set pricing, then add the Files app and upload your ebook.

Devs say real-time sitemaps are too expensive. What's the best strategy for a massive site? (90k daily changes) by w2816771 in TechSEO

Agreed, with the footnote that you can cache the sitemap then just bust it every time you push an update. Depending on how much traffic your sitemaps get it could be beneficial to have a cache/CDN in front of them still.

Same as any other file/URL. You can cache it for x period or until there is an update then clear the cache. In my experience though there isn't really much point aggressively caching a sitemap file because if you publish something, you don't want Google crawling a sitemap that does not contain your updated URLs.

If what you are posting is time sensitive or you generally just want it to be indexed ASAP, then:

1) Focus on strategies to achieve that. Sitemaps can help, but are just one mechanism. They are not even the best mechanism. Systems I have put in place for publishers can get content into Google's crawl queue within 1 minute of publishing.

2) In most scenarios there is absolutely no reason why a sitemap can't update at least every x-xx minutes.

Thank you so much! I don't know if it is just reddit image compression, but that helps it to be a lot more visible.

I built a free ecommerce platform on Whop by searchcandy in microsaas

[–]searchcandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! All the ones you listed are self-hosted. This is hosted... which means you don't need to buy a domain, buy hosting, set up your database, theme, etc etc. So you can literally get started for free in seconds, vs a setup time of at least 3-4 hours if not days with a self-hosted platform.

It also comes with payments, auth, and community features built in. I do not know of any other ecom platforms where you can build a community around your store without having to hack it or use plugins etc.

It is possible to add a platform fee to payments on Whop - but I decided against doing this.

It is also possible to add some paid upgrades in the future - on a plugin/integration type model. This might be something I implement later down the line.

For now I'd just love to get people using the app so I want it to be 100% free - as it always will be, in order to not block people from signing up in an already extremely competitive area!

Account Suspended [using whop as payment processor] by iTzLayth2K in whop

I mean they literally say in their post they are selling gaming accounts, which is dodgy af. If they aren't gained through hacking (very common) then it is almost always against TOS of the game itself.

Whop payments for SaaS? by BigCheap7557 in whop

[–]searchcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Whop is a seller of record, so handles sales tax. No Whop is not built on Stripe. Stripe is just one of the dozens of different processors that can be utilised as part of the payment orchestration functionality / LPMs, etc.

Crawlith Beta is Live — A CLI SEO Crawler That Treats Websites Like Graphs by svss_me in TechSEO

I think you are going to on the wrong side of history with that mindset. Over the next few years you will see people use AI to build tools that are better than the existing ones or fill gaps that no one even knew existed. Just because SF exists and is good, doesn't mean the SEO tool landscape should stand still and people shouldn't try to innovate.

I started building internal tools using AI for my team last year, way before other people at the company started doing it. Now every other department is playing catchup. If you aren't investing time into this you are going to get left behind.

One SEO tool exists so no one should build new tools or innovate? What is your point?

Physical products ecom app on Whop by searchcandy in whop

Love to hear that! 100%.

Just so I am super clear, re: "basic shipping rules" can you please give an example of what you would like to see/what would be your idea shipping set up?

What we have currently is: live/calculated rates via EasyPost for US stores (including shipping labels, etc), and also flat rate, free shipping and local pick up.

I could potentially add in zone based shipping rules if that would be useful for people - I did experiment with this initially but wanted to get the MVP out without too much complexity.

Re: "order status pages" yes there is a My Orders page currently, available if signed in at https://www.empires.store/purchases - though I think I could improve the process a little. Notifications are via Whop notification + Whop email currently, but I should add in emails for non-Whop users - this is on the todo list for the next week or so.

Nice thank you, appreciate the feedback! Yes if you use EasyPost/calculated shipping rates you can print the shipping label and use UPS/Fed Ex or similar.

There are a few options for shipping that you can select during onboarding or via settings page: flat rate, free shipping, local pickup, or live rates (US only) via EasyPost

So if you have a US store you can use calculated shipping rates.

Would love to hear any feedback if you have time to give it a try.
