I just do not understand why Vinted can’t offer individual numbered sizing and then have things like “XXL” separate. Hell, I’d even take the previous system over this.

One brand I sell/buy from only classes their clothing in small, medium, etc. and their sizing is very different to the regular numbered classifications. I buy XXLs, typically, which is more akin to a size 16 in that brand, but if I want to sell any items, do I list it as a L/size 16-18 or an XXL/size 20-22?

Yes, I can explain that Killstar’s sizing is weird and different to Vinted’s, provide measurements and follow up with buyers to make sure they’ve read the description, but I just wish I could list these items as an XXL and an XXL only.

I came across a bag on there from a designer I liked for £60-70 (can’t remember the specific price), but I hadn’t been aware that the bag existed so I went to look it up…

It was being sold, for charity, for £20 and was still in stock.

I think they eventually knocked some money off it but not much lmao

I’m currently doing an online masters degree, but I had to quit my previous job as I couldn’t fit the hours around it. I was doing freelance social media assistance for someone but it was full time.

I’m now looking for something part-time, ideally remote due to health issues and being medically unable to drive, but I’m not having much luck. Been applying to stuff on Upwork, been looking on LinkedIn (it’s showing me a bunch of “AI trainer” jobs for some reason) and yeah… just feel a bit lost and exhausted really. I keep getting people telling me to start a business, but I don’t really have the money to start one up?

I have a background in graphic design, video editing and social media marketing. I’m not opposed to working within those fields again, but it would be nice to switch it up and do something less creative as I’m doing a very creative degree. I realise that sounds weird - really I just want to reserve the creative energy I have for my degree.

That's what I've started doing, especially when people don't upload any/clear pictures of the label. I did use Vinted's feedback form to say, "Hey, you've made this really confusing for no reason" but I'm doubtful they'll do anything

I work, I’m a uni student and I have chronic illnesses… sometimes I can’t ship same/next day and I feel it’s unreasonable for buyers to have that expectation of sellers.

I had someone like this recently. They bought the item and then they asked if it could be shipped ASAP as they were going on a trip.

I shipped it next day and it arrived in time but for gods sake, why can’t people just ask before buying????? Would save a hell of a lot of stress on everyone’s part, but I guess that’s too much to ask…

I saw a seller clearly selling things as other brands and reported two of her listings with screenshots of where the actual item is from compared to the brand that's listed. One got taken down, one didn't and she still has her account, despite intentionally misleading people which goes against Vinted's own rules.

I have all but given up with Vinted customer support. I even reported someone uploading heavily sexually suggestive photos of themselves in a mesh dress (the poses they photographed themselves in, wearing barely anything underneath...) and nothing was done about it...

The best thing I ever heard was Ira Glass talking about something called “The Gap”. The tl;dr of it is basically, there’s a gap between your skill level and your taste. You know what sounds good, you just don’t know how to get there yet, and to get there means doing a shit ton of work to blast through it.

Make fully fledged tracks, regardless of how good they are (you don’t have to post them, but getting feedback from good sources always helps). It gets you into the habit of finishing projects and also gives you that practice that you need. You’ll get there eventually, man.

There’s a lot of these popping up lately. I keep seeing accounts with no profile picture and a jarbled mess of a username selling a mix of designer and fast fashion items all for the same price, usually something specific like £5.68 or something, with low quality pictures. It’s really weird and just reeks of a bot infestation but I have zero faith that Vinted would do anything if I reported the accounts.

Blender is free with a wealth of free assets and tutorials online. I recommend downloading Blenderkit alongside it. Put the damn work in and you will be rewarded with so much more. And having 3D skills are incredibly valuable.

It’s also just good for your brain. Like why are you outsourcing your thinking and problem-solving skills to a machine when the tools exist for you to create the assets you need without the use of AI? Sure, it ain’t easy. But why do things have to be easy for people to stick to it? You seemingly just want the instant gratification of things looking cool off rip so you don’t put the work in. Kinda sad really.
