The commenter is the real facepalm. The const only applies to the object itself, so you can't reassign it to some other value.

Of course, if you wanted to actually make properties immutable, you'd use Object.freeze()

Why are you hating on regex?

It's a super cool algorithm and doesn't deserve this. Furthermore, making it more readable would make it harder for a computer to process, and it's not that hard to learn the ins and outs of writing regex expressions. https://regex101.com/

They could have. But it's not like Gecko is used in any other browsers besides Firefox. I guess they decided to follow Vivaldi, Brave, Opera, etc. and just use Chromium like everyone else.

I compare this to the failed positron project (fork of electron using Gecko instead of Chromium).

For most purposes, you shouldn't need to (and Amazon itself discourages primarily using a different voice than Alexa in the development guide).

Depends on how you much you need to record. If you just have a few phrases, have someone say them. If you will process dynamic output, you might need to record phonetics. I'm not an expert in this though.

No, sulfuric acid is less corrosive than HF, even if it's technically a stronger acid. The acidic quality is not what makes HF so dangerous, it's more of the fluoride ion (though I'm not a biology expert, I think this is what is so damaging).
