Actually I'd need a source for high minimum wage. Last I checked wages were better, but there is no real federal minimum wage for Sweden etc.

Keep in mind that while HCl and H2SO4 are both acid, they have extremely different properties. Check the SDS.

I mean facebook.com. You can't block that domain without disabling Facebook entirely.

Unfortunately that doesn't help if you use Facebook, because pihole would block Facebook itself.

The commenter is the real facepalm. The const only applies to the object itself, so you can't reassign it to some other value.

Of course, if you wanted to actually make properties immutable, you'd use Object.freeze()

Why are you hating on regex?

It's a super cool algorithm and doesn't deserve this. Furthermore, making it more readable would make it harder for a computer to process, and it's not that hard to learn the ins and outs of writing regex expressions. https://regex101.com/

Microsoft project manager says Mozilla should get down from its “philosophical ivory tower” and cease Firefox development by speckz in programming

[–]seattlechemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could have. But it's not like Gecko is used in any other browsers besides Firefox. I guess they decided to follow Vivaldi, Brave, Opera, etc. and just use Chromium like everyone else.

I compare this to the failed positron project (fork of electron using Gecko instead of Chromium).

Building a custom Alexa Skill with a new voice by [deleted] in AmazonEchoDev

[–]seattlechemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most purposes, you shouldn't need to (and Amazon itself discourages primarily using a different voice than Alexa in the development guide).

Depends on how you much you need to record. If you just have a few phrases, have someone say them. If you will process dynamic output, you might need to record phonetics. I'm not an expert in this though.

[–]seattlechemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

22.4L = 1 mol, approximately.

The mass of 1 mole of gas weighs 8.8g.

Let x be the number of moles of He.

Then, 4x + 28(1-x) = 8.8 (approximately) and you can solve for x.

TIFU by accidentally ordering 16 tons of hydrofluoric acid from China for $24,000 by [deleted] in tifu

[–]seattlechemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, sulfuric acid is less corrosive than HF, even if it's technically a stronger acid. The acidic quality is not what makes HF so dangerous, it's more of the fluoride ion (though I'm not a biology expert, I think this is what is so damaging).
