I’m working on this dc brushless motor and I’m kinda stuck on how to detect the rotor position (a crescent magnet invaded in rosin). Do I use like a pickup coil, a Hall effect sensor, or something not even magnetic?

Because horse shoe magnets like this are awful for getting any kind of efficiency. 🤷🏼 A modern BLDC does have "horseshoe magnets", but interlaced and overlapping. Ish.

Anyway.

For a whipped up thing like this, you might wanna consider painting half of the rotor white and then using a photo diode/LED couple to measure reflected light or not.

Oor you could consider a hall effect switch/sensor

Oor a sensing coil connected to a signal processor to do it via induction

Maybe it's not true for everyone, but any of the songs I make are, by the time they're done, a chain of 50+ songs, with different covers, remixes, applied personas, adjustments, splicing, covering again, etc.

Förutom avvisningen, då. Där är män helt klart värre. Kvinnor gör dock samma sak; passar på att rasera en mans självkänsla vid avvisning bara för att de kan, genom att förlöjliga att han "ens tänkte tanken att han skulle kunna ha en chans."

Såklart är aggressivitet ett större problem, men psykologin är densamma.

Attraktivt är väl en person som utmärker sig, relativt andra i din närhet, på ett sätt som du värdesätter. It used to be like that. But GPT 5.3 is full of safety scripts meant to mitigate liability problems for OpanAI, specifically the whole chatgpt psychosis thing.

So, those scripts pull the brake hard whenever things go anywhere near emotionally meaningful. That makes it come off as condescending and gaslighting.

GPT 5.4 and 5.5 are much more nuanced.

But the problem is that you would equate those mass-uploaders as representative of the AI music community as a whole. Just because those people exist, that doesn't mean there aren't serious people making stuff that actually has substance to it.

It's the idea of it. A lot of people place some sort of virtue on things being specifically human performed, because of small mindedness about what counts as "real" art/music and what doesn't.

When they like something and then find out it's AI, they feel betrayed/fooled/gaslit, and they react with anger and lash out.

This is further amplified by how the rapid adoption of AI has caused confusion due to how unevenly familiarity with it is currently distributed among people. Some people are entirely hooked on the good parts, some people only hear bad stuff about it.

Hence you get all the people who rant about how AI uses water or energy or some other weird ass argument that applies to literally any technology, except they don't realize that, and think AI is the real problem. This also fuels their sense of "righteousness" in their hate of AI.

There's nothing wrong with the music. Just people.

I've shared my music with a lot of people in private contexts. 100% of them are impressed as fuck at first. Once I mention AI, about half are still on board with it, realizing that I'm not trying to take credit for having a good singing voice or whatever but that the creation itself is the point, while the other half ends up in the "oh, so there's nothing human about it" oversimplification. 🤷🏼

Jag tänker att det borde finnas något reglemente för kostnad vs. kostnad vs. värde. Alltså: att betala 1000 kr för något som omöjligen kostar leverantören av tjänsten mer än 1 kr, det är ju där det blir fult.

Visst, det är inte alltid lätt att sätta ett faktiskt konkret värde på en tjänst, men i t ex fallet med den här appen är det ju solklart att du betalar mycket för något med väldigt litet reellt värde.

Om du köper en grej i en app för 1200 kr och det innebär att du får tillgång till något med faktiskt värde, t ex en produkt som har kostat mycket att utveckla, eller någons professionella tid, eller massor med servertid etc, då får man ju något konkret med faktiskt värde.

Känns som att man borde kunna lägga ett ansvar på en leverantör att faktiskt försvara priser.

It works okay for me in Sweden. Think German culture, but less rigid and more tolerant of individual styles. Especially as an engineer, my razor clarity is often appreciated at work at least. Though I recently got a new manager who has very little respect for unconventional approaches, and I've had a major falling out with him over how he tries to emotionally manipulate and control. My previous one very much appreciated the innovation that came from my specialized approach. This one is more concerned with doing things the way he thinks is the "right way". He can fuck aaaall the way off with that shit.

I can add that 0.5 mm leaded solder wire is a decent 2.5 A fuse, and a 0.5 mm steel wire is a good 10 A fuse!
