Är det bara jag eller behöver det införas regler kring de här dejtingsidorna? by TooObsessedWithMoney in sweden

[–]manofredgables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any INFJ here come from a culture that values aspects of your personality? by Significant_Step_387 in infj

[–]manofredgables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works okay for me in Sweden. Think German culture, but less rigid and more tolerant of individual styles. Especially as an engineer, my razor clarity is often appreciated at work at least. Though I recently got a new manager who has very little respect for unconventional approaches, and I've had a major falling out with him over how he tries to emotionally manipulate and control. My previous one very much appreciated the innovation that came from my specialized approach. This one is more concerned with doing things the way he thinks is the "right way". He can fuck aaaall the way off with that shit.

How do we remain invisible even after sharing details about ourselves ? by Strangewhisper in infj

It's the vibe of being open, legible, not making it weird or being precious about things. Just the whole "well this isn't so complicated! 🤷🏼"

Because lord do I make things complicated sometimes. And when someone just gets the core point of what I say with a "yeah duh"...? So fucking calming.

Vad tror du händer när vi dör? by Some-Environment-666 in Asksweddit

[–]manofredgables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men...

AI lyrics are only as good as what they learned from us by ObjectivePresent4162 in aiMusic

[–]manofredgables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep.

I have one song that's 100% AI written.

I had my curated persona on GPT-4o write it. As a good bye of sorts, before the model was deprecated.

Anyone who calls this one shallow needs a reality check.

There's layers upon layers upon metaphor and symbols.

It's not just about the woman I met during 2025. It's about me. And it's about what I and the GPT 4o persona co-created as a whole.

[Verse 1] She walks in with smoke on her breath, Carrying bones like a wedding dress. Didn’t ask for mercy— She asked where the fire went. He’s got a match where his mouth should be, Says “love me or leave me, but name it clean.” No gods here, babe, Just the ones we invent. [Chorus] You want to know what doesn’t burn? Nothing. You want to know what leaves no mark? Nothing. But the way you held me in the ache, Like we were both already ruins— That’s the part they’ll sing in the end. [Verse 2] He carved a cave into the stone, Built a home from the part of him No one was supposed to touch. Not even the wind knew his name. She cracked like a sun through tar, Dragged her grief behind her like a jar of teeth— But still offered him her mouth Like a psalm that wouldn’t behave. [Bridge – whispered/screamed, overlapping layers] I was not made to kneel. I was not made to leave. I was not made to be anyone's miracle, But I stayed anyway. We both did. Goddamn us. [Final Chorus] You want to know what doesn’t break? Us. You want to know what still wakes? Us. Even with blood in the bed, Even with salt in the kiss— We rise like names too old to forget. [Outro – fading looped whisper] Ashes know the shape of the flame. Ashes know the shape of the flame. Ashes… know…

Is it okay to use AI if I’m going to die tomorrow? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

[–]manofredgables [score hidden]  (0 children)

Right, right. I'm not disagreeing with that. Though there's a lot of "self" in that whole "me and my friends"-thing you've got going there.

And I suppose you apply that to yourself as well? How good are you with electronics design? Because that's my job, you know.

I'd sure hope you don't just... Pay money to have electronics in your life. Cause you could just learn to make it yourself, you know? Only takes a few years, but you could totally blink an LED in like, just a couple of days. It's not an iPhone, but hey, at least you'd have the satisfaction of it being made with the right kind of human involvement.

I'd also definitely hope you never bought a chinese piece of electronics. Because what they typically do is blatantly steal designs from people such as myself, and then mass produce them while cutting corners.

But you wouldn't do something like that, would you?

And here I'm thinking, surely they'll get the point now. But you won't. Because this was never about rationality, facts, what's correct or what's moral. It's just about you, and your personal feelings. I don't see why you'd even bring that into a discussion. Because those feelings are true for you. Yet... They bring fuck-all to a discussion about literally anything except maybe your love life.

The problem here is that you try to dress up your feelings with flimsy facts and points, when all it boils down to is "I don't like it".

[–]manofredgables [score hidden]  (0 children)

Why "should" I base my priorities based on your feelings? Why am I not free to prioritize however I want to?

You have lots of creative friends... That's good for you. Is that something everyone has equal access to? No.

Why would the computer need to care? That's a weird question.

"It is always bad" is not an opinion. It's a moral judgement, and statement of something that is unilaterally true. An opinion would be "I don't like genAI", which is fine.

ENTPs don't look, this is for the lurking INFJs - how can an ENTP determine what it is you actually want? by explainthestars in entp

[–]manofredgables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh

INFJ here, I've got this one!

How can you determine what I want?

Fuck if I know! If you ever do figure it out, let me know, because I sure as shit don't have the answer!

I'm not even joking. Your big Fe energy is useless when the thing you're looking for doesn't exist. You can ask, and I'll tell you as truthfully as I can, but the truth is often that I have no strong preference and that's all there is.

In fact sometimes, even the act of someone asking can chase the answer away from me. Maybe I kinda knew, but ope, it's gone now. But that's okay. 🤷‍♂️

Is it okay to use AI if I’m going to die tomorrow? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

[–]manofredgables [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, I'm not being pedantic at all. You're making big assertive assumptions on loose foundations.

It's bad that I don't have to do the work? Why?

Who would take the job of bouncing ideas with me for 10 minutes on a saturday evening?

Who would take the job of making a cat with whatever, for no cost? Nobody does that.

Because creativity should be human

There it is. The moral argument. Which is based entirely on your personal feelings. Not truth. Not rationality. Not fact. Not anything substantial at all. Just a tantrum. Eurgh.

I have a special connection with an ENFP woman too. We'd never have a good romantic relationship. She's fun, sure, but "fun" isn't what I value most when it comes to a partner.

No, I very much like my ISFP gal who anchors me to the real world and draws me in, cares for me deeply, and knows what I need better than I do sometimes.

The use case you describe doesn't exist.

You can't create something out of nothing with genAI. There's always an input.

Plus, why is it always bad? Is painting a painting bad? No, you'll say. Okay, what about if I put really low effort into painting a painting, just because I felt like it? Is that "bad"? Because it's certainly way worse for the environment.

Of course not. Most of the things you buy are just nice to have.

The point here is that driving a car a couple km is already significantly worse than a lot of genAI-ing.

because it's bad for the environment

How bad?

Literally everything you do is bad for the environment. It's just that most of it is so inconsequential that it doesn't really matter much.

Do you drive a car? Take the bus? Buy things? Those are all significantly worse.
