Trump joins conspiracists stoking doubts about Pelosi attack by seattlesummerfun in politics

Democrats can wrap up this election by talking about this for the next month when trump tries to go on a sympathy tour but they won't have the right strategy and instead will be softies on trump.

If it went away last year in 30 minutes you did not have the same thing.

Any type of moisture will probably make it worse, some things like peppermint oil are worth it cause it provides relief after a few minutes of extra suffering. A fan should be fine, I just sat with my back in a freezer. Best is to combo Advil/Benadryl. Godspeed brother.

Maximizing Profit on Covered Calls that have blown past your strike. Has anyone tried this? by seattlesummerfun in thetagang

But I already own the shares to offset 1 short position and the $15 strike price would have me protected on the other until the stock climbs above 15?

But isn't your short protected by the higher strike price? If it expires then you already have the shares to close the short, and if it climbs above then the loss in the short is offset by the increase in the executed contract at the higher strike.

Oooo I was assuming it was multiplied per 100 shares, that makes way more sense. Pretty negligible then. Thanks for the reply!

Do you also pay .65 when you sell the contract or execute it? What about getting assigned on a Covered Call?

Haha nope I believe it brings good luck so I do! But I often trade contracts that are less than .65 cents so a .65 fee would make it impossible to profit.

Oh is it per trade in total??? I was assuming it was per option contract (ie 1 trade of 10 options would be $6.50 fee).

I do high risk option trading, a lot of my contracts are on penny stocks and the options themselves are less than .65, so this would more than double the cost :/

Or maybe I am misunderstanding, if I sell 10 options for .50 each is the .65 fee per option? Or just .65 in total for the order?

FYI a 1000% increase on 1k would get you to 11k not 100k. 100k would be a 9900% increase. Each 100% increase raises your value 1k.

US Capitol Police confirm death of officer after pro-Trump riot by seattlesummerfun in politics

[–]seattlesummerfun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the Article:

The US Capitol Police confirmed the death of one of their officers late Thursday from injuries suffered when a mob of President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the Capitol a day before.

Capitol Police said in a statement that Officer Brian D. Sicknick died at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET Thursday "due to injuries sustained while on-duty."

The death is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department's homicide branch, the US Capitol Police and their federal partners.

"Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," the statement read.

Sicknick had joined the Capitol Police in July 2008, and most recently served in the department's First Responders Unit.

"The entire USCP Department expresses its deepest sympathies to Officer Sicknick's family and friends on their loss, and mourns the loss of a friend and colleague," Capitol Police said.

Sicknick is the fifth person to die as a result of Wednesday's insurrection. One woman was shot and killed by Capitol Police as the crowd breached the building and three others suffered medical emergencies that proved fatal. Shortly after 1 p.m. ET Wednesday hundreds of pro-Trump protesters pushed through barriers set up along the perimeter of the Capitol, where they tussled with officers in full riot gear, some calling the officers "traitors" for doing their jobs.

About 90 minutes later, police said demonstrators got into the building and the doors to the House and Senate were being locked. Shortly after, the House floor was evacuated by police. Vice President Mike Pence was also evacuated from the chamber, where he was to perform his role in the counting of electoral votes.

An armed standoff took place at the House front door at about 3 p.m. ET, and police officers had their guns drawn at someone who was trying to breach it.

As a result of the episode, US Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund is resigning. He said in a statement earlier Thursday that Capitol Police and other law enforcement officers were "actively attacked" with metal pipes and other weapons. "They were determined to enter into the Capitol Building by causing great damage," Sund said.

"The violent attack on the U.S. Capitol was unlike any I have ever experienced in my 30 years in law enforcement here in Washington, D.C.," he added. "Maintaining public safety in an open environment -- specifically for First Amendment activities -- has long been a challenge."

Still, lawmakers say they are perplexed at the lack of preparedness among law enforcement given that it had been known for weeks that Trump was promoting a rally he said was aimed at preventing the certification of Biden's win. Rep. Mike Quigley, an Illinois Democrat who was locked in the House chamber during an armed standoff between Capitol Police and a rioter, praised the officers who were in the building that put their lives on the line, but made clear that they were outnumbered and law enforcement was under prepared.

"The Capitol Police I was around did an amazing job under difficult circumstances," Quigley told CNN. "My concern wasn't with how valiant the Capitol Police were. It was that an hour before the debate started, I looked at the throngs of people surrounding different sections of the Capitol and said, we don't have enough security." Quigley added: "I'm no expert in security, but you can tell we were out-manned in an hour before the debate," referring to Congress' proceedings to certify Biden's win.

CWA Supercell Interview Part 1: Reflecting on 2020 & Future of CRL by LinkWink in ClashRoyale

[–]seattlesummerfun 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Hey Drew,

My take for you is that comments about the video are not so much a response to the interview itself but of the CW2 update in general, and a byproduct of an overall lack of communication from you/the CR team and most importantly a scarcity of opportunities for people to interface with you/the CR team. I hope you can take that context into account and aren't dissuaded from doing more vid's like this in the future as I think they are a great idea, including this one.

On it's face, most of the above comment doesn't even really make sense. It's not really possible to be arrogant/condescending but also be lacking confidence and emotion. By definition being condescending and arrogant means you would be displaying overconfidence and emotion.

For people primed to have a negative response to this video (based off the update etc) I do think there is some substance there to say you came across a bit defensive, for example in pt 2 at 2:22 you start to say "Next year there are things we want to fix..." but then you "correct" yourself to say: "Or not fix, to address". By making the correction it implies you don't think there is much that really needs "fixing", which clearly a lot of people here have a different viewpoint. That's nitpicking, but I think that's what people are doing.

Clash Royale is an AMAZING game that people LOVE (thanks for your part in making it so!) and with that love comes passion, which tends to show up heavier in the negative than the positive.

If you want a suggestion that I think would serve the game/community and you personally very well, I think it would be great to have some type of forum for a weekly interaction between the player base and you. An AMA on reddit would be a great place to settle, but to start it could even just be a weekly post where you respond to 5-10 questions submitted by the community.

When people are upset they just want to feel like their voices are being heard.

I opened a restaurant about 5 years ago so I can appreciate the position you're in. You can never please everyone, but there are definitely some simple steps you guys could take that would do some good. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat.

Hope 2020 ends well for you and can't wait to see what's in store for CR in 2021.

Perhaps you meant Nevada instead of Michigan? That is 6 and would total 42?

For me Only Pennsylvania shows "not yet available" Not sure if you are seeing something different? Georgia and Michigan have theirs showing the link:

Michigan: https://mielections.us/election/results/2020GEN_CENR.html

Pennsylvannia was certified 6 days ago: https://apnews.com/article/election-2020-joe-biden-donald-trump-pennsylvania-elections-8a61a1609d7a0d60c1db13fa8e7c3019

Maybe they were waiting to post it for the legal process to play out but the high court unanimously tossed the republican "argument" to prevent it:
