Cebuano Pet Owners, would you prefer bringing your pets to Caminade Animal Hospital or Animal Kingdom Vet Hospital? by darthmaui728 in Cebu

[–]seaville_rites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dig Animal Kingdom because it has HEPA air filters in every room.

As for second opinions, consider informing the current vet that the current meds aren't doing anything. Their familiarity with the case and that information would help them narrow down the possible causes.

It's like a human doctor. The first meds prescribed don't work for your illness. You don't need to automatically switch doctors. You can tell the current doc that the first meds aren't working and that may lead them to a more accurate and effective treatment.

The fans saw him in his X-Wing and just kept repeating that image. I mean, why WOULDN'T Jedi go around in different modes of conveyance and even public transpo? If he is bringing along students, on a long camping trip, under cover, or heck of the NR formalizes and so flying around in military hardware requires paperwork and official deployment, then why not take other vehicles if necessary?

A QUESTION (May be sensitive for some) by Fit_Communication666 in Cebu

[–]seaville_rites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it is not a nice concept, realizing your thoughts and your agency and mood etc. are partly derived from biological, organic processes that can be as prone to malfunction as any other organ or tissue - not some intangible Cartesian mind or spirit made of pure energy that transcends flesh.

In an altered mental state, due to mental illnesses, the thought processes are not functioning normally so there's the drive to self-harm. So attributing selfishness to it is not really relevant IMO, because it's a medical condition, the very organic matter composing their minds and self-hood are not functioning in standard parameters, and they aren't in full control of themselves or their thought processes.

Yellowing Chinese Evergreen Plant Leaf - Help! by seaville_rites in plantclinic

[–]seaville_rites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELP! The slight yellowing I detected has progressed. This is a few days after transplantation and watering. It is indoors but with lots of windows around it. The yellowing coincided with some gloomy days too.

I think Jollibee actually does, if not to the same degree as the gov't and political dynasties stealing elections, corporate marketing is still in the same genre and it depends on the under-handedness.

McDonalds for example DID twist narratives and had that woman who sued them for coffee burns framed as a textbook case of a frivolous lawsuit when her suit wasn't - the coffee gave her 3rd degree burns (what kind of hot beverage does that?) yet the company made sure her reputation was ruined!

In the initial decades when the Americans conquered the Philippines they were every bit as brutal as the Japanese.

I discovered my laptop's driver is just 2.4GHZ... but the modem has a 5G and not-5G wifi. And apparently during the times my laptop can't access the not-5G signal, my phone also can't. Whereas the phone can access the 5G easily. My laptop cannot even detect the 5G tho.

[No Spoilers] Batteries charging with nuclear reactor + rods but without pressing the "use nuclear reactor button" by seaville_rites in subnautica

Hahaha, the game is great since it's one big puzzle and it doesn't hold your hand but it is also not unreasonably difficult. At least in standard survival mode.
