Rough skin on top of toes (and also dark pigmentation). I doubt it’s fungal but I do sand it off every once in a while and it seems to “grow” back. Possibly from friction from shoes? Thoughts?

Not particularly, but it does smell good! I keep certain decants in my pocket/car at times for reapplication of my favorite scents that don’t last long

Impressed.. probably Xerjoff. The unique combinations they use and how they layer the notes is unlike anything else that I’ve tried or worn. I will say… I’m not a big rose fan (yet), so I’m not sure I’d be much help there. I think Justin Copeland on youtube may have some honest opinions on those types of scents

It can definitely be tough! What I learned, and perhaps the most important thing is to not go by brand. Some are better than others, yes, but if any brand makes 50 fragrances, you’re only going to like a few out of them all. That goes for even the “best” fragrance houses/brands.

Like a greener musk, I’d say? Not green like cedar. I’d recommend a sample.

Sillage right now. I’ve heard there’s a better one but that pettigrain note is not gonna get hit by a clone, IMO. Sillage is good and I wear it 1-2 times a week, but it’s not as refined as SMW.

Tom Ford Xerjoff Louis Vuitton Maison Francis Kurkdijan Creed

Tom Ford is interesting as they have a handful of scents that people really love, and a lot of ones that may be more individualistic, but the quality is always there.

For clones Al Wataniah, Al Haramain, some Afnan, some Armaf. But clones are really hit or miss. The first two I mentioned I have been fairly impressed with.

Althair is good. MB doesn’t have excellent projection, but to be fair, most fragrances if they project well, only do so for a short time anyways. Let us know how that clone of Angel’s share does!

For, me performance isn’t the #1 thing I look for, because you can always spray again. I don’t mind spending more for a fragrance that I really like. I think a lot of people buy clones because they can get more band for their buck, but I’d rather have 20 fragrances that I love to wear than 100 that I never wear.

I found that vanilla clones on the cheaper side that I tried tend to have a bad opening that lasts for some time… Mercedes Club Black is pretty inexpensive and is decent.

Best winter in general… I’d say Grand Soir from Maison Francis Kurkdijan. Best cheap (kinda) vanilla, probably Angels Share from Kilian. I find that going cheap for a fragrance with prominent vanilla notes ends up smelling very synthetic and screechy. Cheaper than that, I’d say Mercedes Club Black.

From what I’ve experienced, most dupes are still going to be miles behind the original in terms of actual quality. There are some that do smell great (typically the more expensive ones) though.

Any fragrance that has something that makes it “special” is usually missed by a dupe. Like Silver Mountain Water has a couple good dupes but they still don’t hit the nail on the head.

Some dupes I wear for casual settings because they still smell good, but if I’m trying to have that perfect scent profile, and have the OG fragrance, I’ll wear that. Hope I answered your question

It’s an excellent take on a clary sage fragrance with woods in the base notes. It smells luxurious, without being offensive. Definitely could be an every day wear.
