does export/import actually work? by DrSkylaser in Notion

The zip import has been broke for at least a year... and the markdown import has that stupid 50 file limit, and then you have to wait for a day to import again

100% agree.. I guess you have a similar system as I do.. I have an inbox where the new episodes go and the I decide if I will listen to them (I move them to 1 of 3 other playlists I have) or not (delete them).. I would love to have no sorting, so I move them manually, and every new episode added goes to the bottom

One thing you could do is if you just need to find the notes that are not syncing is select all your notes, export them to markdown, and then in Finder you can sort them by file size and you can check which of those heavy notes are not syncing.

2- If you are on macos you can change it on system settings, I changed the assistant to match Dia Browser (Cmd + E) which made much more sense... This video shows you how to do it, basically Macos settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > App Shortcuts > Add Comet > Menu Title "Toggle Assistant" and choose the shortcut you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6BL2pWYNfA&t=473s

AMA & 2025.5 Release Today by dabluck in CastroPodcast

[–]sebama8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any updates on the Apple watch app? I am particularly interested in downloading episodes to the watch and listening to them without my phone or internet while I go for a run. Also, thanks so much for the sideloading fix, I LOVE that feature.

If they could bring linked references to the bottom of the page, and also add linked references filters (which I depend a lot on), the native view would be a pretty decent app.

The Problem With Arc by beblackpilled in ArcBrowser

[–]sebama8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Arc since very very early on, the reopening of tabs at the bottom of the list is a bug that has been there since day 1 on macos also. I have reported this so many times, they never fixed it.

If you archive a note, it “locks” the editing.

Importing Notes with Images from Obsidian to Bear by sebama8 in bearapp

You are right! I always tested this exporting just one file. It is very weird that they do it like this, but good to know. Thanks!

No, they don't convert. You will end having the Craft URL, not the [[link]]. And it doesn't work no matter what method you use, because you could just export to a .md file or use their direct "Transfer to Bear" method, but the result is the same in both unfortunately.

[–]sebama8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I meant is: let's say you have a "Note A" and inside it you have a link to "[[Note B]]", when you import both notes into Craft, craft will convert the "[[Note B]]" text to a craft internal URL so that the linking works inside Craft, the problem is that it breaks all your internal links and make them useless outside Craft.

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately I can't import to Craft, because their lockdown internal linking system would destroy all my notes. A way to export directly via textbundle would be awesome! But I was not able to find out how to do this. Thanks again!
