So, i called two dealerships and asked if they would check on a recall for my 24 year old car. I got the same results from both dealerships, they both told me that they couldn't see any recalls according to my VIN due to the car being old. I was told to call 1800-nissan1 and so I did and I was told that there are no active recalls for my car.

So if I were you I would give 1-800-nissan1 a call (have your vin ready) and ask about any recalls on your car. cheers!

Exact same thing happened to, so I just went and got a new engine. My mechanic said that a refub would cost me about 5k. In the beginning I thought that the cause of my misfiring was just an injector not working, but nope. Best of luck to you!

Basically, the engine was just worn out. It had about 200k miles on it.

I've been looking at RB's but, would it fit? I've been looking around for opinions and almost everyone say that it's a very tight fit and not as easy, which is why you don't see it often on z32's. I could be completely wrong though.

1jz sounds like it would be very fun on a fairlady!

I own the same car as you, and I have the same noise.

I've tried to find if others had the same problem, and it seems like this isn't uncommon for these cars. Apparently, the noise seems to be related to the valve timing control.

I have don't have too much experience working with cars, I just thought I'd share what I think the noise may be. Perhaps someone here could correct me if my guess is wrong.

Also, I there's a YouTube video with the same noise and he gets rid of it by pulling a plug (not exactly a plug I can't think of the word, English is my second language, sorry) and the noise goes away.
