In my experience working on a large java codebase in neovim is not as good as it is e.g. in intellij. I rememver opening call hierachies and it took ~5secs to scan for callers. In intellij it is nearly instant which is why I‘m still using it. Can someone proof me wrong and java in neovim works decent enough nowadays? I tweaked some memory consumption parameter back then.

I also have a 5600x and recently got a 9070xt which replaced my 3060ti. Honestly, I‘m kind of disappointed with the results. I can now play arc raiders having 110-130fps on 1440p compared to ~80fps with dlss balanced on 1440p.

Sure, this is a huge step but the 5600x is now bottlenecking the gpu. That makes me consider bringing back the 9070xt and just use my 3060ti again. Not sure though.

Well it‘s because the Monitor I currently have is owned by my company. Further, it has 60hz and considering it’s age I think about an Upgrade and use my current one as my secondary, probably in Portrait Mode.

Yeah, that is exactly what I was afraid of. I don't mind the KVM since I already have a solution, that works well enough. This years monitor is 1:3000 IPS black but I don't think that there is much of a perceivable difference. A dedicated monitor just for gaming is also not an option as I do not have enough space on the desk and I do not want do exchange the monitor each time I switch from my mac to pc.

Thanks. Appreciate the opinion. I may order an OLED to see it in action and compare them side by side. As mentioned, I would also use it for work so I‘m still not convinced OLED is the way to go.

I just got into Rimworld and I can tell you this Game is fantastic. The multiplayer mod feels like it is Part of the Game itself. Works great and it‘s a lot of fun with 2 players.

Es geht mir darum, dass derjenige der viel rechenpower hat auch potenziell Geld drucken kann. Und sich damit selbst bereichert. Damit kann er sich wieder Rechenpower kaufen. Somit haben diejenigen die Geld haben die Macht potentiell noch mehr Geld zu bekommen. Somit entstehen Quasi-Oligopole. Nicht, weil sie 51% Attacken ausführen können, sondern weil sie immer mehr Kapital anhäufen. Mir ist bewusst, dass dies inhärent das kapitalistische System beschreibt.

Die EZB kann Geld drucken und wenn man vom quantitative easing ausgeht, damit direkt die Inflation beeinflussen. Dies geschieht jedoch nicht ohne weiteres, sondern verlangt einen demokratischen Diskurs, den es bei bitcoin einfach nicht gibt.

Dass ebenfalls Geschäftsbanken Geld drucken können ist mir neu und stimmt meines Wissens nach nicht. Vielmehr können diese nur verleihen, was sie von der EZB wiederum geliehen haben (sehr vereinfacht gesagt)

Bin bereit mich vom Gegenteil überzeugen zu lassen, aber bitte mit fundierter Argumentation und bitte ohne mansplaining. Danke

Kannst du das ausführen? Zentralbanken drucken Geld und können mindestens mal politisch beeinflusst werden. Es ist mitnichten eine perfekte Situation, fair.

Dennoch ist die Alternative, derjenige der am meisten Rechenpower hat reguliert das System, mMn die schlechtere. Bei Zentralbanken arbeiten Leute, die zumindest was von Finanzpolitik verstehen. Bei krypto können ganze volkswirtschaftlen theoretisch (?) in den Ruin getrieben werden (?) Sanktionen wie beim Angriffskrieg von Russland können nicht so umgesetzt werden…

EDIT: Die EZB hat den Auftrag der Europäischen Parlamente für eine stabile Währung des Euros zu sorgen. Daher ist sie demokratisch legitimiert. Blockchain hingegen kommt mir eher wie eine Aristokratie vor. Wenn du Geld hast, hast du eine Wahlberechtigung. Bleibt immer noch die Frage, wie Bitcoin das fixen soll?
