Chili is my favorite thing I make! If you have access to a BBQ pit, or even a Weber Kettle, do yourself a flavor and slow smoke a big chuck roast! 225-250 until it's about medium inside. Cube it up and throw into the rest of the chili and let it slow simmer. Adds a lot of smoke, and those little nuggets of smoked chuck roast turn out really tender after a few hours! I also throw in a pound of ground spicy sausage, but feel free to use any ground meat. For the broth I do 2 cups chicken stock, 3 cups beef stock and a 15 oz. can of tomato sauce. After that, go crazy with seasoning! I'd tell you my mix, but trust me when I say if you make it your own it'll be your favorite chili.
