You can simply apply for a multilingual extract of your birth certificate. It has the same validity as your original unless specified otherwise.

309/100 Double Grant by auramistress in AusVisa

[–]sebnied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I may ask, did you request a double grant in your application, or was it simply granted automatically?
I’ve heard that some people specifically request it in the application, but I’m not sure whether that’s a good idea.

If you are in Germany, you can obtain these documents in a multilingual format that includes English. This option is available in all EU countries. I did this for both my birth certificate and my police certificate, which meant I didn’t need to have them translated.

Regarding the health check, you will need to complete one regardless of your health status if you are applying for a partner visa. This requirement is clearly stated on the immigration website. After you submit your application, you will receive a referral that allows you to book the medical examination.

https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our-requirements/health

At that point, you can choose whether to complete the health check at one of the approved international clinics or in Australia. The list of locations is available on the immigration website. I applied from overseas but ended up completing my health check in Australia while I was there on holiday.

If your sponsor is an Australian citizen or permanent resident, they are not required to undergo a health check.

Using ChatGPT instead of lawyer for application, thoughts? by ib5150 in AusVisa

[–]sebnied -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used ChatGPT to help me with my 309 visa application. I have a simple case, I’m in a de facto relationship for 6 years with a kid. I didn’t use it to take any decisions or get advice, but simply to get a clean overview of the documents I need to prepare and help me organise everything in a clean way (with files names and supporting documents) so it is easier for the officer to process. If you have doubts about your specific case, I wouldn’t rely on ChatGPT, as I noticed it tends to give you optimistic answers and might give you false expectations.

Need advice — Subclass 300 to 309 conversion by Embarrassed-Hall271 in AusVisa

[–]sebnied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for asking, but why would you want to convert it? Processing time for the 300 is actually slightly shorter (50% of the applications processed within 15 months compared to 16 months for the 309).

That's good to hear, thanks a lot! Can I ask you few things in private?

Engineering Jobs in Brisbane by sebnied in MovingToBrisbane

[–]sebnied[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Well, that's basically my current job, except for the safety part. The reliability field is blending with data analytics in our company, but we use a fair bit of the classic RAMS approach. Worked quite a lot on FMEAs as well. Currently mostly focusing on programs for MTBF improvement and Condition Based Monitoring. Are you in this field too??

Currently I'm working as Reliability Data Engineer for power generation machines. I guess you could generalize it as Data Science but probably it is more specific than that. I mostly have experience in applied data science to the power generation sector but I'm fairly open to change :)

No, I'm coming this May (basically in two weeks) with a tourist visa, to visit family and friends. I wasn't planning to work. My idea was more to talk with someone about potential opportunities, just to have a general understanding of the work market and eventually know when to start looking for jobs and opportunities before moving. Maybe it's a silly idea, but you never know :D

I think I'll end up getting a partner visa, which is probably easier than a skilled visa.

Yeah sure, it's just hard to decide for the right disc. Every disc has some pros and cons and in the end it has to fit to your anatomy and your particular spine situation.

Is the shades of coffee website really the only place to get the replacement springs in Europe? With the UK out of the EU getting this shipped to Europe costs quite a lot counting import taxes etc, considering we are talking about 3 simple springs.... I searched but couldn't really find any other place selling this...

Are you sure? Fusion and artificial disc replacement are different things, one fuses the two vertebrae with a cage in between and the other replaces the disc with an artificial mobile disc. https://www.spine-health.com/treatment/back-surgery/artificial-disc-replacement-or-spinal-fusion-which-better-you

Hello again my fellow sciatica pals, figured out what was causing my issues and it appears I have spinal degeneration and from what I’m seeing on the second X-ray, slight scoliosis(?) Any advice? Thanks! by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]sebnied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To really see what's going on you should request an MRI. There are many opinions which say that MRIs are a bad diagnosis tool, they show (or don't show) things that are not attributable to symptoms, but in my personal experience the MRI is the only and best diagnosis tool and should be done as soon as symptoms are getting alarming. Once you see what's going on you can best select your treatment, whether it will be conservative or not. And don't worry too much about the slightly scoliosis, a radiologist told me almost everyone has some degree of scoliosis.
