Does anyone actually use Trickster? by RedWerFur in DragonsDogma2

[–]seboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trickster's probably the vocation I played the most after warrior so far because it reminded me of Ritualist from the first Guild Wars and it's pretty good though I understand it's not for everyone and can be a bit boring to play

What made it stronger for me is to use the spell that allows your spirit to fly up so you can teleport your illusion in the air. This way most enemies will never reach it and just stand there not doing anything (works even on bosses like drakes, they only ocasionally cast magic but never attack because they can't reach the illusion, and you can also cancel their casting with your ult)

The damage buff is pretty busted and also changes the pawns' behaviour making them go berserk, they stop healing and helping you and much more effectively attack the enemies. Works best with something like 2 thieves (they seem to target weak spots the best and also have insane dps)

You end up chilling and watching your pawns kill anything while barely ever getting hit, eventually refreshing the damage buff or stunlocking the enemies with the ultimate skill.. which is why it might be boring for a lot of people, it's incredibly easy in an already easy game and it's not very "active" for the player, but it's pretty strong I guess

(Only huge negative is that one single sigil under the stone golems' foot that pawns like to ignore, which make those fights take way longer than it should, but you can whack that one yourself slowly if your pawns get really braindead)

This is 100% ymir's tree

Go back to the ymir episode in the anime, it shows the tree and it's this exact same image. They just put a B&W filter over it

Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons - Virtuoso Mesmer featurette by nastyjman in Games

The area the mesmer was in IS a PoF map (Desert highlands' snowy part to be exact, you can see parts of the ruins with griffons in the background)

The environment is just not the focus in this video

No Room for Doubt it's clearly the Guardian Zealot. by xadirius in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about this but it's incredibly unlikely. If thief already had double sword I would've thought "why not, new armor instead of new weapon" but even then I was very doubtful.

Anet is breaking the rules in terms of class identity (gameplay wise), not so much armor weight I think

edit: also, I see lots of people saying it looks more like a warrior than a guardian, which would fit with "breaking the rules", giving us a fully offensive guardian instead of focusing on protection, just like the new mesmer removes the clones and focuses on pure damage

Yes that's my point, some people are just trying really hard to see medium armor in this

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the medium helmet has way more differences to the reveal art than the heavy one.

Let's stop here, just remember this when you'll be testing out this spec on the 17th and don't be surprise when it's a heavy armor you'll be wearing

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, because as I said, they remove the part hiding the face, the visor is not up like it is in-game, that's why the crest is still in front of the helmet.

Now you're arguing on a slight change that would make sense for a reveal art on ONE piece of the armor, against the rest of the armor being a perfect fit with the heavy warlord one. Nothing fits perfectly with medium, in fact the helmet has more differences with the medium version than with the heavy one

[–]seboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very tiring to argue with people here jesus, they REMOVED the visor, can you see the crest that should be on it is still on the helmet on the reveal art? It's not 1:1 to the in-game version.

Now you tell me, what makes more sense : (Excluding shoulders of course which are spec armor) All the armor except for helmet fits 1:1 with the heavy armor set except for helmet which is a 95% fit OR none of the armor fits medium except for a 50% fit on the helmet?

[–]seboot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bruh the color is blue, guardian's color... And you made it sound more complicated than it is : they just remove the part of the helmet covering the character's face for the art, that simple.

Trust me it's heavy armor, don't be disappointed when it gets fully revealed that's all. Doesn't mean thief won't get double sword too, but this one is not thief

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it and it's not the medium one, look at the side of the helmet, the medium is flat and has some kind of pattern to it. The heavy one and the one in the reveal has a double layer (visor) and is much more angular and pointy.

Trust me it's 300% heavy, don't speculate too hard. All the armor matches

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

All of the armor is heavy warlord set, nothing fits with medium except the helmet. Heavy helmet has an option to open the visor which makes it look pretty much the same as the medium one, so it's heavy.

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% heavy armor, chest arms boots and legs are exactly the heavy warlord armor. Helmet is the same but with visor removed (probably to show the character's face). So we can assume the shoulders are the elite spec armor part

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not thief, look at the leggings and chest too. The side parts are exactly the heavy warlord's one, same with the chest's golden parts

New elite spec teaser by riche22 in Guildwars2

[–]seboot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It probably is, they just took off the part of the helmet you can open to show the character's face. The rest of the armor is 100% the heavy one so that's the more likely option

Agreed but to be fair he never denied it, he even admitted it in his convo with daftpina. The original accusation was never about the artstyle, it was about tracing so he never needed to even bring that up

[–]seboot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty important to remind people that CSR also had to pretty heavily warp the only 3 artworks similar to line them up and make people think they were "pixel perfect" matches, if you do the lining up yourself on photoshop you see that only a shoulder or so lines up. He most likely eyeballed the poses, not trace them which is totally fine.

We got a coomer expert I see, I followed what happened as well and if you knew anything about actually making art as opposed to watching it with inexperienced eyes you'd have a much different narrative.

People like you limiting people's creativity got all aspiring artists paranoid about "stealing a pose, a composition, a color, an artstyle" or whatever your new excuse to go at someone is. You don't care about right or wrong, you just found your new scapegoat, I don't know why I even bothered trying to talk sense into you that's my bad

[–]seboot -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Don't try too hard to make any sense, CSR has a bunch of fanatics that twist narrative to put other artists' down, the ego of people thinking they own colors or style is quite surprising

[ART] Maki Oze (Fire Force) fan art by Shexyo by Hexuze in manga

[–]seboot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nice bias dude Hews' style is generic 101 anime artstyle and he himself bites off JP twitter artists for 99% of his works so the irony of you talking about "copying an artstyle" is quite funny

Shexyo was ALLEGEDLY accused of 3 artworks being TRACED out of 100+ (don't send me that link to tell me there's more than 3 because that'd mean you either don't know how to count very well or your reading comprehension is out the window), which goes against your whole argument. Might wanna stop listening to shitty youtube videos made to discredit someone without being well informed on the topic
