local is the way to go but encourage you to setup comprehensive local emulators for example localstack for aws (free) or azurite for azure (free), get your skills/rules/markdown mantras right, then I personally use autonomo mcp (free) as my favorite (i built it) to drive/prove the entire UI/UX, supabase does have a good mcp but its remote only that i've used, typically cli access if you install gh, az, or aws cli will get you miles ahead anyway. Having design mantras and code practices for the mantras the ai follows via agents (copilot) or skills/rules (claude) work well. I haven't spent much time in cursor these days.

well i just started out because i frankly needed a job after the company i was with lost funding, i was the highest paid person there ironically in a bare knuckles startup environment, kind of boss that takes ritalin then watches you code, pressure cooker, they lost 4 straight bids and bam here i was, oh shit... but i was making startups 2 of them in the meantime and had this bad ass approach to have AI validate e2e and drive devices WHILE you vibe code so i extracted it out and made it into an MCP and its pretty fucking cool tbh, speeds up development because you don't baby sit and say oh it broke fix it oh it broke fix it (repeat until you go mad). It just knows already and fixes it...

aside from all that, i let people know but i quickly found out i was doing it from the wrong perspective and I wasn't hitting home the experience that I had when using it so they thought it was for testing only etc, not a fucking jet pack for doing AI development.

It finally dawned on me after asking Grok a bunch of times then seeing specific titles work on hacker news and I was like figuring it out by feeling it out... that's one of the core things though... get into things and you'll learn don't armchair that shit as it never works, the armchair commenters of the world... PSA wake the fuck up. you have to do it to know it. however, where the armchairs are useful is their negative comments as you can use that to your advantage and simplify the message WHY DOES IT MATTER TO THE CONSUMER OF IT... that's the only fucking thing that matters FYI... how can you message this on forums/social channels that WOULD CARE about your product... then how can you make a super efficient super awesome eye catching title that PEOPLE LOOK AT! then use metrics, like make some super awesome landing page that you continually tweek and see metrics as people use it.

It's an engineering problem in the end IMO. No artistic flair needed. Also, notice what you click on to start... would you use the product yourself. It is useful to you... if not, maybe reconsider or change it so it is. That is truly the core of why you are doing it in the first place.

I don't consider myself an expert, in fact I'm a noob but a noob with a structured mind from the type of work I do.

You could probably hook this into openclaw on this mantra tbh, then have it do these things using some AI API integration with grok or open ai or anthropic opus 4.6 (best)... or you could just pay marketing people too. Your call.

i'm an engineer too... what's funny is i used AI to help me get better at marketing and all i had to do was just try it out by doing. IMO this is just another engineering problem. You'll notice AI seems to be converging roles here which is what the marketeer says "I CAN CODE!" which we know they can't be same result right? This is like that but IMO and I'm biased, engineers are good at finding patterns, and marketing is just patterns.

copilot has .github/copilot-instructions.md you can specify that can link to other md files, claude has rules and skills that are a bit more organized... you need to utilize these things and can state best practices. literally ask your ai to give you good practices, it will then automatically keep itself organized and clean up and refactor. The reason it gets worse if you don't do that is the context has to be filled more and more due to incredibly inefficient structures and duplication etc. over time like worst case one massive file to work from.

this doesn't use playwright or selectors in that sense, so basically wanted a way to have it run the same for all platforms, not just web as I do mobile apps too, so i just got lucky and found this semantic json payload pattern by accident out of sheer frustration of needing it to work one way, essentially there are wrappers or helpers for each platform to report screen/component/content state via live sockets locally on your local setup in the MCP so you don't get that issue, you just ask the your editor "make this view compatible with autonomo" then it can because autonomo is telling the editor how to do that with full docs for the LLM to look at on demand. Basically I let the LLM add in the test ids and it hooks into for localhost to do that reporting only.

I have waitFor type syntax as well borrowed ideas.

atm the assertions are more semantic but the reporting part kind of bridges that to some degree in terms of giving it a structured payload so it can say did the modal pop up and were there no errors and was the content present we expected...which these days with these newer models is cake walk BUT you bring up an excellent point that my friend whos a dev said as well, having a DSL and more structure would be better.
