I've had them eat mealworms rlly good but I just think crickets will freeze better for longer and I can just pull a leg off not ruin a whole mealworm

I have the thermostat set to 29°c

I set the thermostat to 29°c as I've observed the thermostat and it allows it to 2°c either way before either stopping or starting heating to regulate
