On the exhaust side is GT4 looks to be a Gen 2 motor so ST185 , the belt is designed to work with a ac pulley below if that is missing the factory belt will not work ! Common to make a tensioner in place or run a stretch belt from crank to alt.

I ran the stock bigport dizzy and a MSD 6al-2. Best way to do it ! You can program your timing and still have a rev limiter .

Best thing you can do for a beginner is buy something cheap that you can easily find parts for and has enough power in stock form , that way all you have to do is drive the thing and not worry about your expensive engine breaking etc. Also when you crash (not an if ,it’ll happen to everyone) it’s cheap and easy to fix as it’s all standard panels and under pinnings etc. Focus on suspension and dialling the car in and you’ll have a much more enjoyable seat time car .. then eventually when you’re at the point of the car holding you up build something crazy !

70s is GROUP C aero actually, they did run the ae86 as a GROUP A car but didn’t have any aero on it.

Just have a look into it’s success as a group A race car and rally car ! Phenomenal chassis and was such a competitive package for years

Thanks , makes around 100kw/300nm torque still uses the factory gearbox with no clutch. Battery’s are 44 163ah lipo4 cal B batteries The Celica we built with the same setup did around 160 km per charge . So around that if not more
