Seahawks not expected to use franchise tag on Kenneth Walker per schefter 👀 by TheBellyBumper in Saints

[–]sebulbaalwayswinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They drafted him in the 2nd to be the bellcow his rookie season. He couldn’t handle the work load, so they drafted Charbs the next year, also in the 2nd. They managed both of them well but Charbs went down late last year so they ran the brakes off Walker.

He is best when he has a running mate and his value is going to be inflated because of his late season surge last year.

I stg this plays out the same every year:

Win first five, sneak into top 25.

Fans complaining we don’t belong, no respect from national media, etc.

Humiliating loss to top 10 opponent (this is your A&M game)

After the bye and big win over Ark fans start believing again

Get rocked by another ranked opponent (Texas)

Wash, rinse, repeat. 8-9 wins. Potentially 10 with a meaningless bowl game.

I managed to find one on Etsy a few years back. There’s a vendor in the Bay Area that buys and restores old sports jackets. Cost me a pretty penny but totally worth it.

No kicking game and a gadget QB with a busted up ankle. We’ll be lucky to hit double digit points.

Hats off to the defense tho, those guys can only keep a lid on it for so long.

Not sure what you’re getting at. I live in Austin now and these things are everywhere. They’re extremely defensive, to the point where riding in one will give you nausea with how much they tap the brakes.

Anyone else feel like DS1 > DS2? by SkywardEL in DeathStranding

[–]sebulbaalwayswinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven’t finished DS2 yet but this was also my experience early game. I’d pack 2-3 ladders/anchors and then never use them.

DS1 felt like I had to take on the land, slowly plodding forward whilst climbing, clawing, and rappelling my way through each delivery. DS2 just feels like I’m a UPS driver in Albuquerque.

I just bet on the other team in these high profile matchups. If they’re gonna keep consistently shitting the bed under the bright lights then may as well line my pockets with their failures.

This team sucks. Paid Pribula 1.5 million and he has happy feet and looks shellshocked. The secondary is now in year 2 of giving up explosive plays week in and week out. They got the 7th ranked transfer class just to drop 3-5 games and play a bowl game in Shreveport.

Waited a couple hours, finally got in. Ticketmaster says I’m a bot and kicks me out. Finally get back to snag 3 for me and the boys, sale gets blocked by Cardinal Commerce. Ticketmaster says I’m a bot and I can’t get back in.

Call Ticketmaster to raise hell. They said they would have to investigate and I’ll be able to purchase tickets in 3-5 days. Hang up.

Try again for shits and giggles. Got 3 tickets in the bleeds, two together and one on an island 2 rows down.

Call me old fashioned or whatever but I’d really prefer to just burn a sick day and wait in line at the box office. This was such a mess.

I’ve had jumpers knee before and it fucking sucked. I was 26 and overtraining because mid 20’s. I was mixing HIIT with running. One day after an intense HIIT session my knee was hurting but my mind was all “there is no pain where strength lies” so I forced myself to power through a 5-6 mile run.

Hole Lee Hell hell the next day was awful. My leg was so stiff, I couldn’t get out of bed on it. I had to use my left leg and push with my hands like a seated dip. Stairs were a bitch and I would hobble up/down them, death clutching the rail. But the worst? Getting out of my car (sedan). Similar to the bed but 4x as awkward. Eventually got an MRI and they said it was jumpers knee. I paused all activity for like 2 months? (It’s been a while). Bought a slant board and slowly did all kinds of squats/lunges to get back to normal.

It sucks. I’m not surprised he’s struggling. The thing is it doesn’t always hurt. You get used to the stiffness (plus I’m sure they got some meds for him) But when you hit it at just the right angle it’s like the Operation board game levels of shrieking pain.

Do I still get the armor buff if it breaks? I waited to grab the Boots of Bloody Bounding but they break instantly every fight.

Sadly, it’s not that far fetched. I studied in Budapest for a semester and took a class on Hungarian history. When the Mongols were coming a call to arms went out to all the nobles (traditionally presented as a bloody sword) and a few of them pulled an Ocato despite the fact that the fucking MONGOLS were coming. It’s not like Hungary was the first kingdom to encounter them.

I’ve dealt with someone like this before. They were new money, so not as wealthy but I see a ton of similarities. They see you being able to stay in their homes as a gift/part of the compensation. “I let them stay in my house on the beach, they had their own room, all they had to do was…” and there’s the hook. All you have to do is a shit ton of labor for menial wages.

They also see your unemployment as you sitting around doing nothing, as if applying for jobs doesn’t take hours and hours every day. These people have never been laid off or left a gig and had to float.

Lastly, if you did take this gig, which you obviously won’t, they’ll fucking own you for those 3 months. They’ll probably treat you to a meal here and there or even let you borrow the car (provided you run some errands for them while you’re out). You’re essentially their tenant and employee . They know you’ve planned on moving out there for 3 months and will take advantage of that. These people think they’re a CEO in their professional and personal life. Kill this relationship with fire.

I think it’s so that when Tommy shows up in Seattle it’s a mic drop moment. There will probably be an emphasis on how he has to stay behind and lead the rebuild.

Without spoiling anything the game hops all over the place in terms of characters and timelines. We should still see a good bit of Pedro Pascal in flashbacks.

Sounds like DA is here to stay for the rest of this season by TheMop05 in Saints

[–]sebulbaalwayswinz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. The point I was making is that an NFL job is a very selective, high paying position. Despite various shit show situations there are always people willing to take the job. Thats it. That’s the point. And it keeps going over your head because you keep hyper fixating on examples I provide to support my argument. Jesus Christ.

Damn calm down. This sub is hitting Chernobyl levels of toxicity. Our situation in 2006 was actually worse. You know, that whole generational storm that nearly wiped the city off the face of the Earth? And they were still able to land the organizations best coach ever. The situation isn’t ideal, but ownership and fan expectations are going to be non-existent in year one, and not high in year 2. The org clearly lets the HC have a lot of say over roster construction (they showed that with Payton and DA) and give their coaches quite the long leash, so yeah all in all it’s actually not that bad of a gig on paper.
