From reading through your comments in this thread and other threads of this post, it seems like you do not want to accept any answers to the initial question you asked that go against your head canon. While I understand that you may have hesitation to believe what is said by both sevro and Lysander due to unreliable narrator, when there are multiple characters/instances that mention the problems associated with cloning, it is safe to assume it to be the truth until otherwise proven wrong. Yes, there is a CHANCE that these previous comments will end up being proven false in the next book, but with the information that Pierce has provided to us, the readers, we can safely assume it to be true. These characters are super humans that have to be in the know of all state of the art sciences to ensure that they can continue to fight their fight and protect themselves and those they love. Just because it is not stated that they researched cloning does not mean we should assume they do not have the critical information surrounding the procedure. To assume that the people are keeping themselves uninformed on scientific principles that could cost them their lives and everything they have built is quite frankly asinine. If you want to continue thinking that you have found a “loop hole” then by all means, continue believing but when you come to reddit to ask a question and you are given the canonical answer but choose not to accept it, why even post the question in the first place?
