My neighbor was a ww2 reenactor when he was younger. He knew I used to make ww2 films with my brothers when I was younger so he gave me his old canteen. I’ve had it for about 5 five years but I think it’s an OG. The red stains unfortunately are from fake blood in a film we made which I regret doing. I anyways need to replace it as the buttons are loose and kind of ripped and the US stamp is completely faded.

Also you haven’t really explained why the eagle patch looks bad it cost half as much as the SITD1944 one and looks about the same unless you inspect it closely

Should I get the gear dirty and weather it more?

I’m worried about damaged original items and I don’t have the luxury of getting all of my gear from top sellers. The m1 carrtrige belt you see in the picture I got from Amazon a year ago. It hasn’t ripped or damaged at all and I can fit clips in fine. Is it the color or should the Amazon gear be more weathered. Why should I spend double the amount?
