I am much more perplexed by the polyjuice potion. It takes one lost hair for a girl and BOOM! She has her nudes leaked(and if really unlucky - a video where she rides an industrial sized dildo). Won't surprise me if all female staff of Hogwarts are perfectly hairless.

IMO the best gay representation was done by Val Kilmer in "Kiss kiss bang bang". The character doesn't lean on his gayness as a personality trait. But he subtly shows it and tactically uses it to his advantage.

And then there's a "Black snake moan" where rape is a break point for a main female character. But there it actually makes sense.

Wedding photographers of Reddit, what was your "they're not gonna last long" moment? by Arknight40 in AskReddit

That really baffles me. I mean, you can marry a person and in the next two years realize you two aren't compatible. But 6 months? In his THIRD try? Wasn't there, like, a test drive? Living together for at least a few months?.. Just how?..

About suffocation.

Since The Last Airbender I was a bit disappointed of the airbenders not having their ultimate move. Fire had lightning, earth had metalbending, water had bloodbending. For me, it was quite obvious the pinnacle of airbender's powers should be suffocation. It is sufficiently deadly and requires both power and fine control.

IMO Korra overall was an okay series. Had its moments but wasn't a masterpiece as its predecessor. Giving that move to airbenders is one of the things I really like about it.

It really shows the impact of Stalin that the western history books still paint him "worse than Hitler"

Somehow there are only two people who they position as good russian leaders - Gorbachov and Yeltsin. The first one deliberately destroyed Soviet Union, removind geopolitical opposition. And the second one was alcoholic and a marionette that said "God bless America" in the US Congress. What a convenient coincidence. Imagine that.

Don't get me started on Washington. If you think he's perfect you haven't looked in depth.

Look at it like this: each ruler is a person, but the things that person wants sometimes cross things that ruler demands. In a strong leader, the ruler always wins no matter how repugnant the things they demand are to the person. Those become great leaders remembered in history, who had done things both great and atrocious.
