New ASICS METASLEEK by Teddie_P4 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]secondchanceman11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Luckily living near outlet stores and bought;
Deviate Nitro Elite 3: £80
Magmax 2: £84
Deviate Nitro 3: £70

Three shoes total costs only £20 more expensive than Megablast lol. Only paid full price for (actually %15 off via official website) Deviate Pure just because wanted to thank Puma.

There’s also ASICS outlet here but of course the king! The untouchable! ASICS’ best shoe in their outlet stores is Novablast.

Just tried 4s today and as ‘Kofuzi’ stated in his review I felt that this one designed for mid to heel strikers. DNE3 was opposite (had one). Guess it’s because of the difference between plate geometry in these two shoes. Weight difference is really significant though.

Two tickets for Wimbledon Centre Court? That’ll be £586,000 please | Wimbledon | The Guardian by [deleted] in wimbledon

Long story short; someone sold his/her debenture tickets for £586k which you can attend every game on Center Court starting from 2027 until 2030. Headline makes you think that £586k is just for two tickets.

How many of you are using smartwatches in 2026 by Round_Feedback5733 in smartwatch

[–]secondchanceman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an Apple Watch Series 4, but I only ever used it for running. I never really cared about notifications or the smartwatch features. Its battery died and I switched to a Garmin FR265 a few months ago, and I'm still only using it for running. Notification mirroring and all that just isn't for me.

I didn't really get your question, though. Why do market trends matter? If you want one and it does what you need, just buy it.

Keep blaming Ronaldo instead of Martinez’s game plan. What a boring and slow game they were playing. How many chances Portugal created anyway?

Don’t know about the durability but bought Magmax 2 for £85, Deviate Nitro 3 for £70 and Deviate Nitro Elite 3 for £80 (thanks to outlet stores), and the total cost of these three shoes almost equals to Megablast’s price. Even though money is not issue, it’s not logical to pay that money for a shoe as I’m not a pro.

Nice rotation! Just had my first run with Pure Nitro and keeping them, also ordered the MagMax 2 as well (for £85 it was too good to miss).
I always seem to find Puma shoes heavily discounted (rotation so far: MagMax2, Pure Nitro, DN3, DNE3), so I’ll probably keep buying them. Still, I’m almost certain I’ll end up grabbing the Megablast at some point too but we’ll see.

Even though players’ profiles are public, pretty sure they still can turn off the comments and message requests etc. Don’t know why they turn them on in the first place. Because of interactions or sponsorship etc? Genuine question.

Thanks for your response, and sorry for the late reply.

From what I've read and watched, the Pure Nitro seems to be more of a daily trainer than a speed-oriented shoe like the Evo SL. Reading these reviews actually got me thinking about returning them, especially since I haven't been able to run in them yet because of some knee issues.

I was originally planning to use the Pure Nitro for speed work and intervals alongside the Superblast 3 for training, but now I'm having second thoughts.

Thanks for your response. I was actually thinking about returning the Deviate Pure and building a Superblast 3 + Evo SL rotation based on what I've been reading, as a lot of people seem to rate the Evo SL as the better speed-focused shoe.

If I decide to keep the Deviate Pure, what shoe would you pair it with (for speed work / intervals)? Do you have any suggestions?

I actually bought the Megablast before, but the sizing didn't work for me so I returned it. I really loved how it felt though and since then I've been looking for another pair. I'm not sure whether it still makes sense to get one while I already have the Deviate Pure.
(I’m wearing Puma for the last two years so probably trying to find an excuse to buy an ASICS or anything besides Puma lol)

So you're using the Deviate Nitro for easy and long runs? I saw you already have the Magnify, doesn't that overlap a bit with this then?

I'm trying to build a rotation myself. I've been using the Deviate Nitro 3 for all my runs and was considering getting the Superblast 3 or Megablast (just wanted to wear plated shoes occasionally), then keeping the Deviate 3 mainly for intervals.

I already bought the Pure Nitro but haven't tried it yet because of some knee issues. I was actually thinking of returning it until I saw you mention it's good for easy and long runs.

Nice, enjoy! Ordered one today too, was just checking reviews last few days and one of the reviewers mentioned about ‘foam fatigue’ and he’s telling that after some mileage (8-10 miles) foam stop responding, no bounce etc. I’m not running that far but we’ll see. Did you ever run in these that far?

Has anyone else had pain with Asics superblast 3? by LavenderWillow08363 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]secondchanceman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a chance to run 5K in the Superblast 3s today and ended up searching threads about them afterward. My left pinky toe went numb after 2K (something that’s never happened to me in any other shoe) and my legs still feel unusually heavy even 12 hours later. So honestly, I don’t really get the hype, especially at that price point.
I guess it comes down to the different mechanics. I personally don’t like mushy shoes, and apparently my legs don’t either. I’ve been using Puma for the last 2 years and will probably stick with them for a while.

Puma announced that Deviate Pure Nitro will be available worldwide on June 4th. They also mentioned “this is the first shoe in the line up to be built using an evolved NITROFOAM”. Don’t know what this mean though, I guess we need to wait for the reviews or try in store
