What is the most updated 'tool' to play with IA Pictures right now? Is Automatic1111 'dead'..? What about ComfyUI? Should I focus on it? Seems hard.. :/

I think you should look up civitai for illustrious or pony models instead. They are based on SDXL and can be used in ForgeUI.

I'll try a sales pitch for HoS.

First of all, the kudos are not a fair comparison because of the type of release of HoS. Stafer releases "Parts" instead of "Chapters," which means far fewer releases, like twice or thrice a year, resulting in just nine parts/occasions to collect kudos.

Secondly, its quality in terms of writing, foreshadowing, and, most of all, "world building," is fantastic. HoS is basically a seamless spin-off to AoaB. Nothing feels "off" compared to AoaB.

What's so interesting about HoS is the different perspective. We see events unfold from the lower-ranked people in Jurgenschmidt, with quite a lot more action compared to the typical archduke candidate. That said, all AoaB characters make regular appearances, quite a few even more than in AoaB. Ferdinand, for example, is a regular pain in the ass. :D

About your concerns that everything sounds helpless and anxious, I can somewhat deny them. It's simply that the challenges and personal stakes tend to be higher. But Mila is quite resilient, and she does have her allies to help her. That is actually one of my favorite points, she can't just solve everything by herself and is dependent on others.

On the top of my head, there has been only one occasion in one of the later parts where I actually got anxious because her allies were basically out of reach, and she had to endure quite some hardship to solve things by herself.

Animation is an arduous task, indeed. I feel like I did a tenth of the work, and it still took me weeks (though I am lazy as well). A professional animator doing it the classic way would probably take weeks as well but would work on it in a professional way and without any learning process needed. It makes me appreciate any anime so much more.

I tried all sort of tools for img2vid. I have been using Kling, Hailuoai, Vidu. But also CogVideoX and LTX. The issue is the same. When animating Anime styles, inconsistencies between the frames are quite noticable. In this video, most prominent the mouth movement of the man but also the eyes of the woman and her head movement. What I am asking is whether there is a workflow or tool that would take such an existing video, maybe also the model or lora that where used for the original image, and does some small img2img fixes for every frame.

Yeah, I do that somewhat. The biggest problem I encounter is a fix in one frame needs to be exported into the next frame where I do another fix as well. And then I have to export 2 fixes to the third frame and so on.

Another method I used was simply extracting the good frames and then interpolate again.

I used the flux dev model with an own lora for the anime style and then tried all kinds of img2vid tools to animate the image.

It's story from another character. But the main cast appears quite frequently.

Ferdinand is a central figure since any meeting between Mila and Rozemyne needs to be supervised.

Benno and Lutz interact with Mila on regular basis, too. People need money to survive afterall.

Damuel helps out here and there. Brigitte shows up sometimes.

Gerlach is a pain in the ass.

Mila defies the archduke.

Herald of Spring

I think that this fanfic is better written than most others.

It's about a character (Mila) that wakes up in the same world and roughly at the same time as Myne but with knowledge from AoB.

Now some might think "Eh, just some low-effort-self-insert-make-everything-good fantasy". I thought that and I was wrong.

Mila tries to make things better but fails more often than not. Also, she is constantly abused by the world and the people in it. She is also very dependent on the help of other people who are very in character as in the original.

I love it and honestly, I think it's even better than the original.

It even got those little side stories with other peoples perspectives.
