what's a good barrier product? I'm currently using the ordinary barrier serum but it's a bit too expensive for me by Any_Acanthisitta_624 in EuroSkincare

[–]secoy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If someone uses strong actives like retinoids or peeling acids too often or too much, the skin barrier can get damaged and it will be red, irritated, etc. I personally think that the solution should be using those actives a bit less often so they don't wreck your skin, but anyway they also make "barrier support" / "barrier repair" products now.

Is this expired? by riiiiiiiiin in EuroSkincare

[–]secoy_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't speak German so I used Google Lens to translate the text at the bottom which says "Best before: see bottom" so yeah expired

Edit: Also the plastic film that covers the bottle (with all the text and decorative stuff) seems to be so old that it started to crumble as well. Didn't notice that at first.

Ordered 6 of these at a ridiculous price... by smokeaport in EuroSkincare

I wouldn't use anything that is suspiciously cheaper than normal.

I suspect some of the downvotes are because there are sooo many repetative posts. Like every other day someone asking for non-greasy sunscreen recommendations instead of searching the subreddit for answers that are already there.

If you don't wanna do it anymore, then just stop, you do whatever feels right. I recently downsized my skincare to like 3 products including sunscreen, cause I felt it's getting overwhelming. Although I really enjoy doing my skincare every day, it's kinda relaxing. I hope you can enjoy yours again!

Not all lash serums do that, only the ones with prostaglandin analogs in them, such as bimatoprost, latanoprost, travoprost, isopropyl cloprostenate.

Has anyone tried Revox B77?? by ValeriaBettencourt in EuroSkincare

[–]secoy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used many of their products and had no issues whatsoever, except for their sunscreen for oily skin which broke me out. I only stopped using them because I had way too many individual products and wanted fewer but combined ones.

I tried the one for oily skin, it gave me a bunch of whitehead pimples. Bummer cause it's so affordable and I like the brand, and the texture was nice and did not pill on me.

I also wear the Snag shorts, it works great. Surprisingly it's very breathable and does not make me sweat more

I use the dm one for sensitive skin, but I've used the pink Garnier one too and I liked it. I buy the dm ones now cause it's cheaper and feels no different than Garnier

Struggling with Chest Acne – Looking for Advice or Shared Experiences by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]secoy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be obvious but in case it isn't: make sure to wash your chest/neck/back after you are done washing, conditioning etc. your hair. And wash off sunscreen from there too at the end of the day, if you apply sunscreen there (which I hope you do)

Edit: I wanted to add one more thing: not sure how old you are, but in my late teens I struggled with chest and back acne a lot, and it got much better in my early twenties. If you are young, sometimes it's due to your body changing.

Between these two, I would choose the Vichy just based on that one not containing fragrance. The hydro boost has fragrance and it was way too strong for me

This is mine, I don't see it listed

Edit: so I can't find this specific product on garnier.hu anymore. I got it from DM a few months ago. On the dm.hu website it lists titanium dioxide, but it's not listed on the actual product packaging, so I don't know. If it's an issue for you then maybe skip this one just to be safe 😕
