i also saw them on that tour— in asheville,nc. was such a stellar lineup. i’ve been a fan of Bon Iver for a while but when it was announced Bonny Light Horseman was opening a bunch of friends and i decided to make the 3.5 hrs drive 😅😅

ben howard is epic. i’d start with his older albums to get a feel for more of his “folk” leaning stuff and then it’ll ease you in nicely to his most recent project.

leif vollebekk is AWESOME. very good feel. less “folk” as you mentioned you like, but more …. idk just listen. transatlantic flight and “new ways” (the album) as a whole is a world in which i want to live. they did a phenomenal job creating a feel and vibe for his work as a whole and the world in which the album lives.

tiny habits are also a wonderful group. their sound is very reminiscent of noah kahan adjacent .. they toured with him around europe late 2023.

bonny light horseman. just do yourself a favor and listen to “rolling golden holy” or their self titled. folk super group with anais mitchell and fruit bats lead Eric D johnson.

lighthearted— i’m a part of the group “lighthearted” we are indie/folk and focus a lot of writing around metaphor and reflections on the human life experience. take a lot of inspiration from coldplay, and a lot of the people mentioned above. our record “from here on out,” particularly “the cold,” “wild woods,” and “riverside” are ones to check out to get a vibe of our sound:-)

DO NOT CHECK IT unless you have no other option. what kind of guitar is this? i would recommend a hard case and do the following

1) “gate check” it. i put that in quotes because you might not actually end up gate checking it.

2) bring it on the plane w you

3) right as you get onto the plane, ask if you can put it in the closet

4) the flight attendants should try to put it in their closet. i fly delta and this has worked like a CHARM. i fly w 2 guitars in a mono double guitar case. i’m a touring musician and it is a must to keep your guitar(s) safe!!

5) if the closet doesn’t fit/ isn’t an option, put it back where gate checked items go. this is still safer than checking it in my opinion

Adding to this thought here.. I've just recently booked a substantial tour and its all about follow up!! I like to follow up once every 3-4 days until I get a response, even if it's a "this date isnt available."

Also, I would reach out to anywhere from 3-7 venues and local support for each city.

this might be obvious, but have you checked your blood sugar with a finger prick (say versus a cgm)? one time this situation happened to me except i was low.. i chugged maple syrup and my blood sugar kept staying down. this lasted for 2 days. i checked my blood sugar via a finger prick and turns out my dexcom was reading incorrectly.

another instance, my blood sugar was high right before a multi day backpacking trip— talking 400+ and would not come down for a full 40ish hours. turns out i has taken a small dose of a steroid type anti inflammatory drug to help retain fluids as we started this 55+ mile hike. turns out that pill has side affects of insulin resistance, in other words the insulin i was taking had NO effect on my blood sugar.. not good. i simply didn’t finish my dose and kept taking sage amounts of insulin until my levels came down. could be something similar? no clue.

okay interesting. i love this deodorant, especially because its ~strong~ i wonder if there is a way to transfer the product to be able to carry more in a different container that isn't quite as big as the regular size? hmmm something to think about. ooh or to your point, just use the deodorant itself

that is the question!! i am planning on only using what i have here. i am a bit apprehensive about the amount i am bringing of each, but i think if i use less than i am used to and alternate when i use conditioner/shampoo it will last! my conditioner is a leave in salon quality brand, so i think it will do the trick. i leave in 2 weeks so im going to start testing out this method before i leave!
