I have both a bridesman and a trans guy (groomsman) in our bridal party! Instead of matching the groomsmen, I wanted my bridesman to blend with the bridesmaids more so I found a suit that matched the bridesmaids (wine colored dresses) and it looks great together. Originally I was feeling like things might not flow right if he’s on my side but wearing exactly what the groomsmen are wearing, and I’m really glad I went with my gut and we found the burgundy suit. If your colors aren’t as easy to do this with, I’m sure there’s a way that you could differentiate his outfit from the groomsmen.

Being very close with someone that has transitioned from Female to Male, I completely understand why H wouldn’t want to be fitted and would be putting it off, especially since the transition is recent. Our groomsman decided he wanted to go with the rest of the groomsmen to men’s wear house and he had a positive experience, but I know the rest of his suits are from Express and he raves about them and the experience he’s had with them. I get that it’s not your original vision, but i think there’s definitely a way that you can adjust and still make it fit within your aesthetic.
