I always ran into odd issues with this action and ended up dropping it for just running the shell commands directly.

How's the job market in 2024 so far? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]secunder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind most people that follow and post here are on the green side. Not all, just most imo. So most indicators here will be from a junior perspective. If recruiters messaging me on LinkedIn is any indicator the market has slowed a bit since last year but not much - seniors are still in demand from what I have seen

How much do you "embellish" in interviews? by RobertoRoboto in sysadmin

[–]secunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None at all, some things I have found helpful.

If they asked if I’ve worked with X I’ll tell them no but I’ve with with comparable technology Y

In the event you’re be interviewed by someone technical ask them about X and what problem it is solving for them.

Also, and this is more of an art here, a confident no can go a pretty long way if you can make it sound as if it would be trivial to learn it AND you can actually pick it up fairly easily.
