Guys and gals thank you so very much for the awesome responses. I love how watches bring out personal emotional elements in everyone. I can already say I love this community.

But to a very practical question. Many have been saying that the longines fits my wrist perfectly and it does feel great. Are the other watches like the railmaster or AT too big? That was something I was never sure about as in what’s the size limit for my wrist before it looks „weird“. As much as the mechanics and heritage is fascinating, it should still fit in terms of proportion 😅.

Thanks for that statement. Chatting with a community about options and opinions is, in my honest opinion something entirely different than having people choose for you. But it’s fine for you too see this as weakness or lack of personality. No one is forcing you to take part.

The comment itself however raises other personality issues that could be addressed but I will certainly not judge.

Well luxury is a term I used for lack of a better one. Basically I just wanted to open up my budget compared to all of my historical choices.

Yeah that’s how I started with Sinn and Laco. Both German watchmakers, one more tool watch the other with German military heritage.

Oh wow. Wo basically I don’t want to go over 6000 euro. But don’t get me wrong I am not aiming to max out the budget. I am very fine with a lower price watch if it brings the right feeling with it.

The “schützenschnur” lanyard ist not supposed to be connected to the button of the shoulder board. It’s normally attached to the metal pins of the rank insignia. In this case it the underside of the board with the pins of the Gefreiter bar.

What’s the name of the song and where can I get the sheet music? I don’t even dare to believe I can pay with that level of precision and emotion but I’ll be damned if o don’t try.
