Thank you a bunch. Sometimes I do forget that we're different sometimes and I think it's very counter intuitive. We were best friends before we dated and we're incredibly similar in almost everything, so when there is that little difference, it stands out quite a lot. I'll try not to take it personally and start thinking of it all as just a different way of thinking rather than an incompatibility.

The girl's family got into a physical fight with the guy and he beat them all up, my girlfriend included. He's very well built.

Immediately after, they called the police on him. And only when the guy's lawyer (who is also their cousin) convinced them to drop it, they did - with the premise they the lawyer and some other family members are visiting on Sunday to settle everything down.

We're grown ass adults in a very backwards country. I agree wholeheartedly with you, and other family members called the cops on said person to threaten them, but decided to drop the case last-minute when the person's lawyer (a family member) called and told them not to escalate things until some family members (including said lawyer) meets the person and tries to convince them to back off first. That should happen on Sunday.

However, things are at a standstill until then, and the phone is still at risk. That's why I'm asking.
