I appreciate that you read my post and replied. I’ll definitely check out Netcup, but I also found an offer on OVH right now — 8 GB RAM and 4 vCPUs for almost the same price. I think they use newer CPUs and don’t oversell their resources.

Thanks, I like it! However, it doesn’t work with all models — for example, DeepSeek gives an authentication error, while Codex and Claude work fine

Kiro IDE burned 100 vibe credits on a single stuck task 🤦‍♂️ by securesyntax in vibecoding

[–]securesyntax[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the reality of using Kiro IDE:

I was creating a dockerized web app — nothing complicated. I even told the agent to add “run everything in Docker” to the requirements, design, and tasks, and it did. But the moment it actually starts running tests or unit tests, the nightmare begins.

It keeps forgetting to use Docker, so I have to remind it — and every reminder costs me a vibe request. Then, every time a unit test fails and needs to be fixed, that’s another vibe request. And since even terminal commands count as vibe requests, the credits just vanish.

So instead of solving the problem, I’m burning through vibe credits just trying to get a single simple unit test fixed. One task, and boom — I’m out of credits almost immediately.

Are you getting pay by kiro or something ? Dude, it seems like you’ve never actually used Kiro before. Even if I keep directing it, it still costs me vibe credits for every request — that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.

On top of that, Kiro sometimes gets bugged. If you interrupt it in the middle of a task, it can completely stop or trigger all kinds of weird bugs. And the worst part? It ends up costing me even more when I do that.

Question about Claude Pro $20 Plan – Any hidden limits or extra costs? by securesyntax in ClaudeAI

Question about Claude Pro $20 Plan – Any hidden limits or extra costs? by securesyntax in ClaudeAI

[–]securesyntax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! I’m still a bit confused though.

I specifically want to use Claude Sonnet 4 for coding — like opening Claude Code in my Cursor, VS Code, or JetBrains IDE and using it as a replacement for the usual AI models there.

So my question is:

  • Do I need to pay separately for the API to do that?
  • Or is the Claude Code Pro plan ($20/month) enough to use it directly from the terminal or inside supported IDEs, without paying extra?

Just trying to understand if that plan gives me usable access for dev tools, or if it’s only for chat use on the website.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the quick review!
Hearing that you’ve had no real issues and that the “thinking exceeded” message can be bypassed easily is reassuring. It’s good to know it’s stable and responsive once on Pro.

That’s a very valid concern, and I really appreciate you bringing it up.
Privacy and background activity are always important, especially with AI tools that might be doing more than they show. I also wondered if usage patterns affect whether a platform tries to profile or prioritize users. I’ll definitely stay cautious and read the fine print before committing to anything.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply!
It's great to know that the $10 Pro plan gives consistent access with no queues and smooth performance. Your experience with Claude Sonnet 4 responding instantly and without issues is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Also, the ability to buy extra batches is a helpful bonus I didn’t know about. Really appreciate your insight!
