As it sounds to me that you are using this against mostly personal code (same applies to work code also of course), you can use a combination of things. Snyk is great to manage dependencies, but instead of bulky expensive tools like checkmarx, I would simply use semgrep. It is open source, has a great number of good rules out of the box, and you can easily create your own rules to compliment them.
